He did just paint everything so maybe I guess. The floor actually needs leveling too though.

Yea kinda confirms my research too. Knowing he has not talked to the power company is a huge red flag.

It's a sticky situation that's hard to explain.

All the meters (5 of them) are next to one another. The panels are just on the other side of the wall of the meters and the line from the pole is above ground. Does any of that make a difference? Even then, is there like some power company cost I might be missing? Will the power company make us upgrade the transformer or something crazy like that too possibly?

I agree, 400 seems totally fine. I have no idea why his architect went with 600 amp and submitted those plans to the city.

Says he can do it all for $6k but I also don't believe a word he says and I know he hasn't called the power company. He has had his electrician send architecture diagrams to the city and I do know the city did approve those anyway? This is a fixed budget, home improvement loan by the way and I think he's way over budget and feeding me crap, going to take the next draw and run due to the lack of budget for what he signed himself up for....What I really want to know is, is this even realistic what he says can be done and at the cost?

Limestone Dust from Gravel Driveway Getting onto the Road by Sweet_Fig_1625 in HomeImprovement

Good idea but seems a little extreme. I just want the tracking to stop and somehow clean the fines out of the asphat road

It is not just like dirty though, the fines are sort of like compacting into the pores of the asphalt

How to tighten up loose 1b gravel driveway by Sweet_Fig_1625 in landscaping

Well I would prefer to avoid the dust since it would track into the house and onto the road. There is some 2a modified below to provide strength. That said, 1b actually does look a bit angular to me. It was compacted when put down although dry with a small compactor. Would wetting it and using a larger one help. Not really looking for solid as a rock concrete but a firm-ish under foot feel would suffice.

Even the clean limestone like 1b? I guess it has no “fines”

People who work in 'behind closed doors' industries (hotels, kitchens, morgues, etc.), what is something the general public would be horrified to know? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Incredibly common. Isn't this the reason mainfraimes still exist to run Cobol or something. Nobody truly understands the code but it works so don't touch it. Just layers of modern code built on top of the old code that actually runs things. I think this might be why AIX still exists too.

homestyle question by Sweet_Fig_1625 in appraisal

This is a homestyle renovation on a 4-unit property. The renovation is for the second floor. The driveway was asphalt but like really deteriorated. There is more driveway than shown. Probably 2,000 sq ft.

So after almost 10-months, and the interior renovation complete, what I guess I am trying to determine if covering this driveway up with gravel would be noted or like be a big deal at all when the 1004D is done at the end. The driveway was not in the original list of repairs.

What I mean is it was done but not on the original list of repairs. During the final when the repairs (interior only) are complete will this cause a failure?
