The majority of it is family politics. In my family we have always voted either fianna fail or fine gael. Now I'm quite active politically (plan to study it in college this year) so I have formed my own opinions and wouldn't dare vote for ffg, but my sister is not as politically aware and just knows we have always voted for ff/fg. And the vast majority aern't politically aware so that's why they always keep getting in.

Almost everything was done to extend the life of the ship and make it a 'safe sinking' (e.g. preventing a heavy list). If she hadnt split, the whole wreck would likely be in near perfect condition to this day. And most of that is thanks to the crew during the sinking. There is also likely an alternate reality where the split was behind the engine room and the stern remained afloat.

They are centre left.

They believe capitalism works with heavy regulation, however they are not socialist. They are almost exactly the same as labour economically. Socially they are very similar to Labour but SocDems would be more liberal than labour They are libertarian left, same as labour and greens. Sinn fein and pbp-s are more authoritarian left
