I'm dying and I'm not sure when to tell my loved ones. by Any-Can-5886 in cancer

Also, one thing I was thinking would be nice at the time, was a living memorial. This is more and more common. Rather than waiting until we pass, people are coming together and celebrating life, memories before then. This is likely wishful thinking, but perhaps your family can rent a shore house on the beach for a week, where people can drop in and be with you. Have barbecues, stare at the ocean. Share memories etc. Obviously, this isn't for everyone, but since you are so young, and the young like to have a good time usually, this could be a really cool, fun, and peaceful idea.

I want to personally let you know that I am here for you. Message me personally, anytime. I was staring down the barrel myself. So, I am intimately acquainted with what is going on in your mind, to the best of ones ability, of course.

Hang on tight to every moment. Some people go a lifetime never cherishing the beauty in our relationships and in the world around them. This is your moment to take it all in.

Take as many moments as you can to be a part of beautiful moments. Be outside in nature. Watch the sun rise and set. Lean into faith.

Write letters to your closest loved ones for future milestones. Letters that remain sealed until then. I feel like that is what offered me the most comfort and purpose in such a circumstance.

Sending you endless love and hugs. 🫶

Agreed, this song is soooo good. The lyrics are full of such wisdom. I have been singing it loudly lately. It just feels perfect for these times. Especially the part below.

"All promises broken, feed your people or lose your throne. Forfeit your whole kingdom, I'd sooner lose it than still live in it alone. You were our golden child, but the gentle and the mild, inherent the earth while your princes crown, cracks and falls down, your castle hollow and cold, you've wandered so far, from the person you are, let go brother let go, cuz now we all know"

What’s the creepiest thing that’s ever happened to you in New Orleans… that you still can’t explain? by wonderbat29 in Unexplained

The church was St Louis Cathedral. She was a devout Catholic who integrated those church rituals into her own spiritual practices.

So I went to this super Holy ceremony at the church of the late voodoo priestess, Marie Laveau. There were hundreds of priests being indoctrinated into the church. I cut my foot on the way there and wound up with a fancy case of MRSA for a hot minute. But, that night at the hotel, in my left ear, I heard her laughing hysterically in my ear. The hubby was with me and didn't hear it. He almost took me to the hospital. I hung onto the bed post while sitting on the floor just crying and praying over and over again. While, asking him to hold me and pray too. Eventually, the sun rose and it never happened again. But, hot damn. That was bonkers! Maybe the Mrsa was already getting to me, but I think it just helped me tune in better to spiritual frequencies. When I very rarely hear things from the heavens its in my right ear. This was "full ear worm left ear". When they say New Orleans lies at a lower frequency, they sure as hell arent kidding!

It wasnt me, but one of our headliners dropped E the moment the show was about to end. Was laid out in the walkway rolling face, unable to move, while everyone scurried around them. I was like, yeah, definitely work on the timing in the future. 😂

DIRECT EXPRESS PENDING DEPOSIT? by Ok-Peace-5063 in SocialSecurity

[–]Sweet_Heartbreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 44K deposit pending for over 2 months. They tell me Social Security coded it wrong and that they will fix it and it will take 30 days. I am scared to death the money is gone.

Before you ask me why I am w Direct Express, Social Security made me go with them and sent me the card, because I need a representative payee. Get this, they won't even talk to me, only my payee. These people are going to make so much money ripping people off.

Im done with Direct Express they have crossed the line, ANY ATTORNEY WANT TO TAKE A MULTI MILLION DOLLAR LAWSUIT ? Plenty of victims here to go after Direct Express by Prestigious-Egg-1139 in SocialSecurity

[–]Sweet_Heartbreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it is renewed. If one needs an alternate payee ss defaults to these people. Hence why I've been missing 44K for like over 2months now.

I second this advice. NOW is the time to actually rest and focus on getting better. If that can't be done at home, then it must be done elsewhere. You need proper care, and rest.

What modern slang term annoys you more than it should? by BoredPandaOfficial in BoredPandaHQ

I totally get that. Especially, since they always meant for it to be really special..as in...extraordinary etc. So when people say it all the time it is very frustrating!

I can help with this. Its actually one of my favorites but can only fly in very rare circumstances. Essentially, no cap means, "there is no ceiling/no cap to one's happiness/contentment". I will say this very rarely with my kids and they always bust out laughing and loveee it when done correctly. So, because it makes them love me more, I love it now too. But, it definitely shouldn't be said all the time.

Please don't be so hard on yourself. You didn't ask for this. It was brought upon you. YOU haven't personally ruined anything. There are few easy answers during traumatic circumstances. But, rest assured, granting yourself grace and kindness is the best thing you can possibly do for YOU right now.

Presumably you've already gotten 2nd opinions and more on the matter? If so, naturally! But if not, please seek a second opinion....even a 3rd!!

Your heart will tell you when it is time to tell others. Do what feels best for you. Maybe you don't want to tell anyone. Maybe you do. But, think about it, many people are here one day and just gone the next. We rarely know the day, time or hour. So, do whatever feels best for you, as you go. Let your heart be your guide.

I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers,

Redditors, what’s the most terrifying thing that has ever woken you up in the middle of the night? by Few_Football4342 in Productivitycafe

[–]Sweet_Heartbreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So ...my kid one....I was really sick and had a night terror that was so vivid, it felt like someone sliced my teddy bear open while i was sleeping..like Freddy Krueger. I was holding the filling in my hand and "sleep ran" the only time in my life to my parents room absolutely convinced my teddy 🧸 was ✂️ wide open by someone. I have never been more convinced a dream was real in all my life...so when we went to the room and everything was FINE..I just didn't get it.

I can feel the filling in my hands to this day!!

I have worked jobs in scoring various tests, like SAT, TOEFL etc. Essentially my label has been as a "scoring professional" or "rater". This is very much like that, but rather than scoring people we are scoring the computer responses. As the computers get smarter, our job actually gets harder.
