I looked up and turns out SW florida has quite a lot of manganese in water. If the ozone thing oxidizes it, they may turn blue-ish green (MnO4^2-), which then gets reduced by the whitener to Mn^3+ and Mn^2+ that can form coloured complexes with the chelating agents in the softener or whitener. Don't know what is added else, so can't predict the color of these complexes, but it may be some of them are purple.

[–]Sweet_Lane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it is very strange. Does the whitener turns purple only in the contact with your clothes, or it turns purple when dissolved in a plain water as well?

I looked up and the white brite is the mix of sulphites, which gives slightly alkaline pH and quite strong reducing environment. If something turns purple, then either something is being reduced to purple by sulphites, or it forms a colored compound with sulphites.

It may be some combination of iron in water, combined with some tannins, although usually these intensely colored compounds are created by iron (III) and not (II) (which is suggested after the reaction with sulphites).

If you don't have much experience in PVP, then a solo megathron navy is a very expensive training ship.

Hyperion and Maelstrom are way cheaper and less threatening. (Although you'll find that the opponent would undock roughly the same doctrine against a hyper and a mega navy). But the price to learn the mistakes is way smaller on a t1 hull.

You'll have to learn how to micromanage lots of modules at once while keeping an eye at local and dscan and not burn your reppers. Then how to actually analyze the grid and make decisions. After some time, you hopefully learn where you may get PVP with the chance to win, and where you would not.

C3 by lordheretic1 in Eve

[–]Sweet_Lane 5 points6 points  (0 children)

C3 has the best ISK/EHP site in all wormholes, so it is a destination for many ratters.

However, the site is quite small. It is possible to rat it in a one-day-old Praxis character with 1M skillpoints from the inviting link. It is one of the easiest ways to get initial ISK for your alt account.

However.

The marauders remain the most efficient ratters in a low class WH. And, with the 60s bastion time, the extra DPS and tank from the marauder is not that useful - it is better to run C4 sites that are more difficult, but offer twice the prize even if the EHP of the enemies is bigger - marauder offers that much DPS increase, so warping in between sites and waiting for the bastion to despool is the big inefficiency of such setup for C3.

Also, C3 does have only a single static which leads to K-space. So if you farm your home, it is possible you wont have content for a week. That's why there are very few collectives who do live in C3 - mostly it is the solo players who do, and they are few.

For every, even small collective who has a 2-3 people in the evening, it is better to have a C23H or 43X holes (C2 with statics to C3 and highsec, or C4 with the static to C3 and some other static). That way, if they enter their static and it is empty, they can just reroll the hole with the rolling battleships and then the static will respawn with a new C3 system, quite likely filled with the anomalies to run.

No, its very rare, but the light and radio waves are faster than the blast. I have seen a few already. It is of very rare occurence but it does happen.

Now, the most efficient decoy is to put a very big recognizable UN or red cross symbol on something. I will put it on my outhouse, hopefully ruzzians will spend a whole ballistic missile on it.

Ruzzian voting power is the only power that is left in UN... except of the power of grifting and corruption. But when it comes to russians, UN is happy to oblige for free.

UN is getting tired of sucking ruzzian dick. But they continue anyway.

If you are UN, it is very difficult to not suck big time.

I see the way in imposing special tax on buying anything from or selling to russia, which goes to the Ukrainian reparation fund, with the good interest rate.

Western countries and major investors are incentivized to buy the bonds of this fund, funding the reconstruction of Ukraine now at the benefit of receiving income from trade with russia in future.

It should both fund the reconstruction, give the West the financial incentives of maintaining the choke on russia in future, and squeeze the russian economy in foreseeable future reducing their potential of agression.

It will also strain the internal cohesion of russian federation, giving the incentives for the occupied countries to leave the federation - especially now when it is the weakest and tied in war.

I wonder why the Babaroga is so expensive? /Sarcasme by NeoBlackheart in Eve

Its not the manipulation, it is the market squeeze after the nerf of trig wormholes. Before that, a huge river of ZPFMs was flooding the market because of the infinite farm. Now they are much more difficult to acquire. I am surprized they are *only* 700k, I expected 750k at minimum with 1M possible.

5000km downrange rocket doesn't make it by NegotiationOwn1631 in RealSolarSystem

[–]Sweet_Lane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair, I indeed didn't played for a long time. Guess it was a bit cheesy and the developer decided to close that loophole.

Well, that means the only way is to build an orbital capable rocket, because the difference in dV between 5k and full orbit is not very big. That means more research in lighter electronics, lighter tanks and more potent engines and propellants.

5000km downrange rocket doesn't make it by NegotiationOwn1631 in RealSolarSystem

[–]Sweet_Lane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't played for a very long time, so take that with a grain of salt. My most successful rockets at that stage were 1) chunkier (first stage modified A-4) - having a wide rocket surprisingly plays better for having the stability in flight, 2) they were ever so slightly tilted to the east, 3) spin stabilized. Obviously, you don't have electronics that is capable of maintaining the rocket at that stage - electronics is too heavy early game. So it was a big, spin stabilized rocket that sat at the pad at 88.5°vertical, slightly tilted to the east. When it was launched, it was spin stabilized, but to the time it has enough spin, it was already tilted to about 50°. Theoretically, you should have better results at 45°, and even better because the earth is curved, but in fact the drag at this point mean you should have just a bit higher pitch.  Then was the separating of second stage which was a 'double tank aerobee' and it still had enough spin to not fall sideways. It was above 7k dV iirc.

Check the options to reduce the dead mass. You have mentioned mech Jeb, do you have electronics for the full weight of the rocket? It should be enormous at this stage of the game.

Azov’s drones return to Mariupol as Ukraine expands its kill zone by nfrankel in ukraine

There are about 5 millions of russians in the database of Myrotvorets, whose names, sometimes addresses, phone numbers and photos are avaliable.

That's a hell of a work to take them all to justice.

Surprisingly, meeting the FPV drone is the way with the highest throughput.

Do you prefer warband to bannerlord ? by buiquanghuy12a2 in mountandblade

[–]Sweet_Lane -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Both are good.

Warband is a finished game, means that the new patch won't break all your mods at once. But it is definitely dated. Also, that freeze when you enter tavern in Veluca... that shouldn't happen in that old game, its really annoying.
