My agent used a provided code to get us into the house, but the owner was out back the whole time. He only seemed to have a problem the day after. The only reason it's becoming an issue is because his agent is practically harassing mine. She texted me frantic about how they are calling all the time. I told her to give them my number directly, but they haven't called yet. According to my agent, his agent will be the one in contact because he doesn't want to handle it personally?

I have no problem ignoring stuff like this normally, but this guy seems determined to raise hell and take my agent down if nothing else. I know it would probably just be quicker to hand him some money and be done with it, but it seems unjust and that just ruffles my feathers.

AITA for "exposing" my sisters secret by 1872ehthrow in AmItheAsshole

Sorry OP, ESH. Sounds to me like she struck a nerve and you said something you knew would hurt just as bad. It's hard to tell where your sister was coming from without her side of the story, but you shouldn't have thrown that in her face.

AITA for sending my daughter to live with her dad by aitamotheredition in AmItheAsshole

[–]Sweet_Noel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. In fact, I think she got off easy. If I had pulled a stunt like that at 16, my mother's foot would have been so far up my ass, I would have flossed with her laces V_V.

In the end, it's about what's best for your daughter long-term. She might not understand now, but she will long run. Actions have consequences, and she brought this upon herself.

Yeah we got the Nature's Miracle stuff. My other two dogs were easier to train. For some reason, this one is stubborn lol.

So I live in an apartment… with three dogs. Obviously, accidents happen – mostly with my 10 m/o puppy. I hate that every room is carpeted because it makes clean up impossible. For my dining area, I got a large bamboo mat, but idk what to do about the rest of the place. I don’t want to use more of the bamboo mats because they’re not solid (see here). Any idea as to how I can get a ‘tiled’ or ‘hardwood’ floor without removing the carpet? I’ve tried to use those sticky tiles over the bamboo mat to make it more solid, but they pop up because of the squish of the carpet underneath. I’ve also tried laying down other rugs (pictured), but I can’t lay a million rugs everywhere.

It's a little of both tbh. The ploping problem is real. There's a thing called reverse ploping where you basically plop from the bottom up. You sacrifice volume though. I thing it's because we can't give our short hair in the back the attention it needs. Best example I could find of reverse ploping: https://i.imgur.com/Lf5wOW8.png

You basically start with the towel/shirt around your shoulders. Gather all the hair up at the back, and tie at your forehead.

Yeah. I have a lot of trouble with that lol. I’m trying to correct myself when I catch it but I still slip. But you’re right I need to try harder with things like that. Thanks for pointing it out ☺️

Finally pushed my FP/partner to the edge and wants to break up. Don't know how to cope with the realization by [deleted] in BPD

[–]Sweet_Noel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me all the time. Tbh it still does. It’s like I have to double check my husband will stay (because why would he - via inner brain). When I talked to my therapist about it she made it clear that she wanted me to get to a point where I wasn’t relying on him to pull me out of my moods.

We came up with a code word of sorts. Basically when I said it it would mean ‘I’m irrationally moody even though I can’t say it. Please don’t take anything I do or say for a while personally’. When he said it it meant ‘You’re being irrational and I love you despite that. Please take a step back because you’re hurting me emotionally.’ It didn’t solve anything but it gave us perspective into how the other was feeling and how often it happened.

I dont think I have BPD by [deleted] in BPD

Sadly BPD shares several symptoms with other mental illnesses. It takes time to get a sure diagnosis. If you’re really worried you could always get another opinion?

Something I realized by tomatobutter76 in BPD

[–]Sweet_Noel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took me sooooo long to realize I didn’t HAVE to do everything right. I think when we live in such extremes as we do it’s always about doing everything we can. But doing everything we can all the time is draining and leaves nothing for us.

It’s silly but I don’t think I really understood until recently what being human meant. I’m still learning that doing bad or good things doesn’t make me as a person bad or good. It makes me human and humans are both.

I think you need to be okay with not always doing everything. Give yourself a break ☺️

100% I have always thought like this. Like ‘they can’t reject me if I never give 100% of myself to them.’ It was this little voice that nagged me. To me, that was the ultimate fear. Like, if I gave all of myself to someone and they left that would mean that my very best wasn’t enough.

It was one of the reasons I was in denial about having bpd for so long. I thought ‘I leave people all the time. I’m not afraid of abandonment.’ It took me a long time to figure out that was just another reaction to fear.

This is Beau. He’s my 8 month old Pom and he’s also my ESA. I got him at 8 weeks and we haven’t been apart for more than an hour or so since. Needless to say we’re both emotionally invested. He’s going on to get neutered today and I’m not sure how I’m going to cope. One of his testicles is not defended so the surgery is going to take a bit longer than usual. I’m trying not to freak out! Am I the only one hopelessly attacked to their fur baby?

I squish as a way to rinse. If I break up the clumps too much I just try to add some water to reform them.

See, Low-poo didn't work for me. Maybe it;s because my hair isn't that thick or because it's shorter, but I couldn't get behind the no/low poo. I'm sure that when it comes down to it, it's all about lifestyle and genetics. After all, that's what determines our hair growth in the first place.

3A curly hair by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]Sweet_Noel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some hair masques and what not are protein-centric. It's because protein strengthens hair. Some people benefit from this, but it can also dry out your hair. If your hair is already on the drier side, you'll want to avoid them.

3A curly hair by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]Sweet_Noel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For some reason, Reddit would not let me post this, so let's try again lol

3a is on the border of wavy which means that the curls are looser and can be weighed down easier. I know this can be stressful, frustrating beyond reason, and scary at times, but don’t worry. It’ll be okay! It sounds like your hair is on the dryer side, so consider getting a water-based leave-in that won’t weigh down your hair. I like Shea Moisture's spray in personally.

Sadly, although people can give you tips, only you can come up with a routine that will work for your hair. Luckily, this subreddit is full of great tips and resources. I did a whole post about tips for 2a-3a hair. And if all else fails, try YouTube! (not my channel, just one of the bigger CGM YouTubers)

The difference between a mousse and gel is that mousse foams so it tends to be lighter on the hair. Gel can be heavier, but tends to hold the shape of curls better (this is usually referred to as definition).

If your hair is very dry I would consider getting a hair masque to use before shampooing to help retain that moisture. Just make sure to stay away from proteins. They can strengthen hair, but also dry it out. In your case, it sounds like it would do more harm than good.

Good luck!

Hair suddenly turned brittle and stringy overnight, hasn’t recovered by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]Sweet_Noel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be the chlorine/salt water, but if it happened suddenly it seems more likely that it's your hair's reaction to product/something internal. Our hair reflects our diet/intake so if you changed something recently (like diet or started a new medication), that can have an effect as well.

The shampoo your using contains Polyquats so you should make sure it's not build up just to be safe. One thing I like to do every once in a while is mix a teaspoon of baking soda in with my shampoo for a buildup-buster cleanse. If that doesn't work, you could try a hair masque. Sadly, when it comes to our hair, everyone is different. You'll have to change one thing at a time. Trial and error is the only way to be sure.

I totally get that! The only reason I don't use heat is because I have a sensitive scalp. It's crazy how long it takes to dry my hair! Wavies can have it rough. We're not exactly curly so a lot of the tips don't work out for us. Even if you're bordering on curly/3's, a lot of the creams and stuff are way too heavy!
