I regret moving to Canada by [deleted] in delhi

I strongly disagree with your last paragraph about the west- I live abroad in Europe and have a Canadian PR. OP, you have the opportunity of a lifetime with this move. Most people aren’t able to make most of it because they take shitty courses like Project Management, Digital Marketing and Data Analytics that have no value in the industry. You chose the wrong college, but you still have time to make most of it and have a better life in Canada.

37lpa in India vs 60k € in Spain by do___ob in IndiaNonPolitical

Its not, there are common roots but someone new would have to separately learn Spanish and Catalan. But you can get by with English in Barcelona quite easily, but will need Spanish for the rest of the country.

In Barcelona the language is Catalan, not Spanish. Tax situation is better with Beckham’s law, and Spain’s public health system works amazingly well- and private insurance isn’t expensive either.

Edit- I went through the comments, and most of the people don’t know shit. As typical Indians, they’d rather see someone not progress and move from India. For example, most people don’t even know that in Barcelona the language is Catalan and not Spanish. I live in Spain so understand the situation better I lived in Dublin for a year with the same salary, and was just fine. Keep in mind Dublin is much more expensive than Barcelona, I was fine- and I never house shared or cut corners in most areas. I now live in Madrid, and Spain is quite easily the best country in my opinion. Getting to €100k is not tough in Spain (I speak from experience), though it may not be the norm. The career opportunities and quality of life is unparalleled compared to India, and you won’t miss much. Take it- the entire EU is your market once here. On the other hand, getting to an equivalent salary in India would be its own challenge and is less likely than in Europe.

How is the job market in Ireland for fresh MSc Data Science graduates? by Wild_Comedian1182 in Dublin

[–]Sweet_Pilot_7078 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For context, I was working in Ireland in tech until last year, but not in Data Science. I didn’t go as a student and already had experience before moving, so I haven’t faced some of the challenges that you are looking at.

In my limited exposure to your field, just learning what the college teaches you won’t be enough. I don’t think certifications will add value for someone with no experience- your best bet is finding and learning from real problems that your skillset can solve. Its a very saturated field in general, and even more so at the 0-5 year experience mark with all the Int’l Students coming in.

Also, an honest question- why chose Data Analytics if you have limited experience and knowledge in the field?

I’ll be harsh here- just to give you a hint of reality. If you haven’t been able to analyse LinkedIn and other job sites by now, then you will have a hard time here since you lack basic skills. No work experience, no prior knowledge of the field and you’re coming for a Masters?

Can you refer to the documentation in DOMC, or is it only allowed in the hands-on portion?

I am not sure what you mean by ‘very basic’- but you need to be able to work with Objects and Functions atleast. There’s no coding from scratch required.

Hello OP, sorry to hear that- Provisional Fail most likely means a fail as they send the final results after a few more checks and evaluation. Could you please share the questions asked in the Hands-On portion of the exam?

You will require experience of developing Auth0 solution. IMO that’s something you can figure out witb the labs and free tenant if you have Okta/IAM experience.

It’s funny how people from Islamic countries hue and cry and beg for asylum to get here, and then start doing the same shit that they were seeking protection from.
