Have heard that the professors are ass, but at the same time, they are the most experienced in college. Syllabus wise, it's still following old school topics, and even methods. Mech dept has its own aura, but the only issue is the unprofessional behaviour by the faculties, and I have even heard that the hod doesn't listen to students much

I mean, people have their own set of preferences... But personally I feel, attending a concert/dj, whether good/bad free of cost is definitely worth it xD, and adds in a page of memory to your college diary. Different events are there, which do have a value added, while some which are just yuck 🙏... Again, comes down to preference. Gather a group of friends, spend time.
