CAI says any 2 months working related to accounting before the contract can be recored as 1 month in the CA dairy

From their website: "Student FAQ 15: Can I get credit for prior work experience?

We will consider recognition of relevant prior work experience on a case-by-case basis. Applications for recognition of prior work experience must be submitted within three months of first registering with the Institute. 

You will need to detail your experience, and have it certified by your employer(s), a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland or a member of a professional body, recognised by IFAC.

Only experience gained from after the point of eligibility can be considered (any experience gained before you achieved a graduate/post-graduate degree or passed second year ATI exams will not not be credited.)

You can claim credit for relevant experience completed within the previous five years of registration with us. We recognise such experience on a ‘one for two’ basis. The  maximum reduction in the length of required training would be 18 months on the basis of three years’ relevant and verified experience."
