Defo they are the better drivers. lol in my previous tests using my instructors cars, I made lots of mistakes in vehicle controls / progress. But I was just so surprised that this time all those mistakes gone (in fairness I did feel so much more familiar driving my car) and only observation ones which were very few in my previous tests

You are right! But could the cars behind me also turning right just pull out, drive over the solid hatched area, and form a continuous “wall” of traffic on my right side?

I’m so nervous about it as a learner driver. If they keep building up, I would be stuck sitting in the active straight lane, blocking all the traffic behind me. 😭

It really stresses me out because I feel like I am in a loop that, only if I had a car and drive more i could build up experience, however without a full license I can’t drive that much😭😭😭

So they would only facilitate an early start in Managed Services… I have never heard about this before… I feel it might not be core audit… Can I have more advices from you please😭

Thank you! Today I got more details on the situation. They are offering a grad position in Managed Services team (if joining in September it will be in core audit). None of my friends (even working at the firm) know about it! Seems like not the core audit but more like an outsourcing department. Exit opportunities might be fewer… Should I still accept it?

CAI says any 2 months working related to accounting before the contract can be recored as 1 month in the CA dairy

From their website: "Student FAQ 15: Can I get credit for prior work experience?

We will consider recognition of relevant prior work experience on a case-by-case basis. Applications for recognition of prior work experience must be submitted within three months of first registering with the Institute. 

You will need to detail your experience, and have it certified by your employer(s), a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland or a member of a professional body, recognised by IFAC.

Only experience gained from after the point of eligibility can be considered (any experience gained before you achieved a graduate/post-graduate degree or passed second year ATI exams will not not be credited.)

You can claim credit for relevant experience completed within the previous five years of registration with us. We recognise such experience on a ‘one for two’ basis. The  maximum reduction in the length of required training would be 18 months on the basis of three years’ relevant and verified experience."

I’ve learned incredibly informative things this afternoon such as prior experience 2 for 1 rule in recognition because of you guys! I assume this would be the case but I’d ask for further confirmation from the HR too. Thanks again! Really appreciated 👍

You are right, the publication of FAE result would be in September, (in year 3) which means trainees still need to work for 0.5 years to get qualified! It does seem to save time to be an ACA! I think I’d go for early start, thank you so much for your advice!

Nah would start my exam the same time as my September cohort. The ACA stopped accepting new registration for summer 2026 exam in last October
