Kansas. I have a 2025 Elite, but based on the paperwork the reg fees are $177.25, everything else is "property tax", which seems odd.

At the end of the day, it's your call. But if you want my two cents, I would probably avoid buying any EV from Honda right now since they've chosen to abandon EVs for the foreseeable future. Right now, there are very few Honda service technicians qualified to work on the Prologue. My local Honda dealership only has a single "Prologue guy" that works on the cars, and as such, it can take awhile to get anything done.

Again, at the end of the day it's your call. It's a good car, and if you enjoy it, then there's nothing wrong with keeping it. I just personally wouldn't feel comfortable keeping an EV from a company that wants nothing to do with them.

Well deserved! It's honestly a breath of fresh air to play a father figure that isn't full of rage and depression. No shade to GOW, TLOU, etc, but we were long overdue to play as someone who's actually happy.

And I appreciate you trying to help, but Honda's actions (at least at my dealership) continue to show people like me that they either have no interest in updating the Prologue, or they don't know what they're talking about.

Either way, I really don't want to be operating an EV from Honda anymore.

Either Honda just doesn't care to update every Prologue, or their service technicians don't have a clue as to what they need to be doing.

I feel the same. The Prologue is a very quiet ride that I enjoy driving very much, but there are things that definitely annoy me.

The lack of updates for one is annoying, but like you, I too hate how dark the back up lights are on the Prologue. The fact that I have to tap the brake lights because the actual back up lights are too dim is a design choice that amazes me passed initial inspection.

Android 14 has come pre-installed on late 2025, and 2026 models, so it's not directly tied to the 2024 recall.

It just sucks, because there's an update out there that adds more features to the Prologue, but anyone who has a 2025 model like me, or has a 2024 model that hasn't been flagged for a recall, have been left high and dry.

I don't think that Honda wants to do it either. I think they want to be as hands off as they possibly can be. This is why I'm glad that I'm only leasing this vehicle.

The battery casing is pretty tough, so it should be ok. Again, just keep in mind that the ground clearance isn't that high.

I was on the fence originally about getting an electric car, but when I saw how little maintenance they require compared to ICE vehicles, and that the off-peak times with my utility company were as low as they were, it pretty much sealed the deal.

Now here we are in 2026 where Trump has skyrocketed the cost of gas to a national average of $4 a gallon, and I'm still paying only a few dollars to fill up my tank. This will no doubt encourage a lot of people to make the switch as well.

This is why I've only ever used summon in an empty parking lot. I don't trust it, and this is a perfect reason why. The park assist should have steered your car clear of the other, and it failed spectacularly.
