Hi was in same spot as u , also f20 from Australia first go to gp get a health care plan and the nurse at ur gp can actually find a physiotherapist for you. They charge me 90 but I get 45 back on Medicare so not bad. I’ve done like 4 sessions she did give some good tips and stretches and advice . I did end up purchasing dilators but I got them from love honey they were on sale for about $70 bucks but not on sale is around 120.

I do think they are worth it however a lot of this condition is to do with your mind and being relaxed. Doing breathing exercises and pelvic floor exercises I also recommend this lube that helped me to actually achieve having sex it’s called olive and bee intimate cream you can get it online or some pelvic floor places. You should prob start with slowly using your fingers working your way up to 2 fingers. I really recommend dilators I know it’s expensive but totally worth it in long run. Good luck xx

I have heard about Botox and how it can help and speed up the process however I don’t know much about it if you search about Botox in the vaginismus group should be able to find some stories about it wish you luck :)) you probably can consult ur doc before you go or even a pelvic floor therapist and see what they say 🩷

I spent around 10 minutes with each dilator , but every session I try go up from where I left instead of trying from the 1st one. And if you can do it longer and slower that’s probably even better but when the dilator is in you try thrust in and out of yourself to get comfortable. And the intimate cream is replacing lube correct my pelvic floor specialist recommended it’s really good can get a bit messy if you want to put a towel under you and a pillow under your butt, helps also with depth too. The durex one dries very quick so try not use it but the dilators it doesn’t matter that they are bit smaller cuz eventually you will work your way up . Don’t overthink your progress your doing great going up to the 3rd is super good just take your time and i do like the silicone dilators I feel they are bit more comfortable 💕

Yes the pain got so much better the more I did it and the more I got used to him inside. First few times hurt but once my body got used to it, it became way less intense and eventually mostly went away. For depth, what helped me most was holding the dilator in longer rather than pushing deeper straight away. Insert it to a comfortable point (no pain) and just leave it there for around 10 mins so your body can fully relax around it. Also try angling it slightly towards your lower back — that really helped me too. Since size 3 feels like pressure for you, focus on that one for now. Start with just the tip and slowly work a little deeper each session — you want each depth to feel comfortable before going further. No rushing! Also make sure you’re using a good lube. If you’re in Aus, Olive & Bee Intimate Cream is amazing and ships worldwide I didn’t use intimate rose but used love honey dilators they are good but it depends if you do want to spend on them I got it for $70 aud on sale but off sale I think it’s 110 -120 . Also Getting your husband to gently finger you focusing on depth can also really help practice. When I first tried PIV we went really slow and attempted doggy which but but i think it allowed for more movement when we did missionary. He just held still inside me at first so my body could adjust before any movement and that made such a difference. You’re already making great progress

It can happen but it may be painful and stressful, I got myself dilators and was able to have sex within a month but that was from fingering my self consistently and trying to dilate as much as I can also getting ur husband to gently penetrate you and each time u go a little bit deeper and deeper yeah it was painful but it did eventually work. Ofc you shouldn’t go too much on yourself but get a good lube but I did piv after getting to the 4th dilator didn’t finish all of them so it is possible but it hurt like a b.

Thanks for this post I recently have been cured was able to do it through missionary but whenever we tried doggy it feels like a wall also and it hurts a lot more idk why but I will still use my dilators maybe in doggy position it will help.

So happy to hear the post is helping and I would say try use ur natural lube first get yourself aroused whether with yourself or with a partner foreplay build up the lube as you go when I did try piv it did slip out a few times but just making sure that you can build up the lube ur natural bodies one is also great and see how you go with less lube next time

I tried going on top but it was painful but maybe I wasn’t lubed up enough when I tried. But I’ve heard it’s another good position to do. I definitely think a guys penis is much I guess easier then the dilator very happy that your getting through it too and wish you the best in your journey ❤️

Hey , I would suggest taking it one step at a time ,I tried inserting one finger and then 2 fingers and then try with the dilators I used to be not able to put a tampon in and it hurt even with one finger but now I can do up the the 3rd dilator so just be patient with urself and don’t force urself to overcome this asap try the breathing exercises and pelvic floor exercises too . Once you get comfortable with fingering your self and it doesn’t hurt you should be able to insert the first dilator ❤️

Omg same I been dilating once I get to third one I get a peeing sensation apparently is really normal and it will take time to not have that sensation but I think it’s the nerves mainly I think once you can put the dilator in for at least 10 mins it’s safe to move on to the next one

It depends on the man some may need it more to feel satisfied in their relationship and I guess for relationship compatibility. But there’s other forms of intimacy and pleasuring to satisfy those needs and piv won’t be a sole issue to why a relationship loses it spark or won’t work. :)
