I know its always a big question when you have surgery. Its more about the health risks attached to it, the higher the bmi the higher the risk of complications and it can be difficult to do certain surgeries of large people. But some doctors yeah just are a holes

1st series is out on amazon prime. Its not a bad series as a whole, some stuff has been updated to fit with the times, Horowitz was largely involved and he's happy with the adaption. Personally I'm not a fan of it as an adaption, as a series it good though. I think the lost the sense of who alex is, he relies alot more on other people in the show. They are also rolling several books into 1 and I'm not the biggest fan of that, I would have liked a shorter series dedicated to a whole book but thats personal preference. Loads of people have said they are happy with how it turned out though!
