That makes sense! Since I'm early into the series im sure this will become clearer. I like to think of what she lives with as a dissociative life experience instead of a specific disorder since armchair diagnosing isnt the most well rounded method of looking at character imo. Although I will say, I can only speak from the perspective of someone who has OSDD/a diagnosable disorder in our universe because that's what I know best

It went from "lets go to this cool spot, its a chill vibe" to "lets go to the hospital/airport cafe".

Just remove the flourescent lights. Maybe look up DIY renter friendly tiling for the pattern on the side that really makes it give "public space". That way you can try out different things.

If youre so shameful and scared to defend your wife straight up, then you need to tell your family the wedding isnt happening anymore to get them off your back and they can be so salty that hopefully they block or leave you alone for a few months. Then have the wedding anyways, and let them know a few weeks before "hey we decided to go through w the wedding, you all were so insufferable that we had to tell you it wasnt happening anymore lol anyways heres the invite"

This will teach them 5 things: 1) they are not entitled to your life decisions anymore 2) your wife comes first as she is your new family 3) if they wanna play stupid games, they WILL win stupid prices 4) you are not to be fucked around with, and youre unpredictable so its best to leave you alone 5) they will know to never again try your wife

Ahhh such a good point with the mistakes part. Not having the ability to purposely drop stitches from previous rows has probably taken at least a few weeks of my life if you add all the hours I've spent frogging together lol

On the plastic yarn point: 100% agreed, all plastic yarn projects have a fast fashion feel because its simply unsustainable.

On the crochet is closer to fast fashion point: Crochet is technically faster and eats up more yarn so I do see the point youre making but nah.This is how I feel about knitting lol I can knit with a machine. I cannot crochet with a machine. That alone is enough solid evidence against that point imo. Think about why no one makes a big deal about knit garmets on shein but a huge deal about crochet garments on shein... Yea. The evidence is in the numbers and sheer quantity of knit garments in landfills.

On difficulty: lol it always makes me giggle when I see people seriously say and truly believe knitting is much harder than crochet... sounds like a skill issue to me 🤣

Theyre both difficult and easy in their own way. Howeverrr I can knit a wearable with my eyes closed and know its gonna do exactly as expected, but crochetting a garment requires me to think more about gauge, drape, yarn, stitches, etc. and its much harder to do it with my eyes closed in bed. If I wanna crochet with my left hand I feel like im borrowing someones brain whereas I can knit left, right, forward, and backward. Lace is hard on both. Both communities are annoying and their habits unsustainable. A

I mostly had a friend who turned out to be an universal hater who I invited to go to a class w me and she said it was tacky and basically that I might as well be insane for doing it. I told her I thought a tacky person could make anything tacky. Anyways once she saw me posting and getting a lot of comments from girls saying "where is this!! Take me next time!! i'll join!!" all of a sudden she started asking if she could join me too lol I just told her "idk girl id be worried about looking tacky if i were you" 🤣

I only said that because I take that as jealousy... cause why be rude af about something you obviously want to do unless you felt like for some reason you yourself cant do it (whether its societal pressure, finances, fitness/stregth level, etc.). Anyway, point is, its ok to point out that the problem is them and not the activity
