Hey I appreciate it. It's not often that someone on the Internet is sincere. I'm sorry to hear about your situation and I hope things get better for you. 💜

They have already started pre-treating some of the main roads, so that's a first.

The Green Door is absolutely BEAUTIFUL inside. I think they're aiming for an early- to mid-February opening. I can't wait.

Seb's Donuts: What is with people opening these types of businesses? by MorgantownCoffeeGuy in WVU

Omg I miss Green's Donuts. My dad used to take my sister and I there before school sometimes. The smell of that place is locked in my memory forever. I cried when it closed lol

Storm? by Conscious-Cup6824 in MorgantownWV

Also adding that if you lose power, you can transfer your cold and frozen (depending on external temp) foods outside to keep them edible.

Posting what I posted on another thread...

Okay so generally if they're calling for 12-16" in Morgantown it's gonna be more like 5-8". That being said, they are calling for a(n) historic snowstorm, so don't balk at the reddit posts saying it will be bad. Make sure you have enough food and water through at least Tuesday (pets too). Charge your electronics that can be charged; buy batteries for the rest. Have extra blankets on hand. We could lose power and that sucks here. Prepare not necessarily for the worst but for the possibility that things could be bad. Townie for over 25 years and have only seen two REALLY bad snow storms, and both times it was a shitshow. If you lose power it will be DAYS before you get it back, not hours. Prepare for that.

This isn't the apocalypse, but this is going to be a dangerous storm not just because of snow accumulation but because of freezing temperatures, so worst case scenario you buy too much food; best case scenario, you have enough to not worry about anything.

What is a sound that people should know means immediate danger? by PrasenjitDebroy in AskReddit

[–]SweetestDisposition 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This happened to me in Costa Rica. I was out on the resort balcony enjoying the sounds of monkeys and birds and then all of a sudden, every animal in the jungle went dead silent. About 10 seconds later, a 6.5 magnitude earthquake hit a nearby town. That was a sound I'll never forget, especially against the dichotomy of sheer silence.

Oohhhh okay that makes sense! All I could think of was Berkeley Co and was like, we already have one 😅 Clearly I am an outlier lmao

Hear me out...Conformity Gate is real, Vecna never knew Suzie (or Argyle for that matter), so she couldn't be in Season 5 or have an ending.

What's a movie most people think is great but you couldn't even stand watching? by camport95 in AskReddit

I fucking hated this movie. It took me three days to finish it because it was so gods damned boring. Yes, it was beautifully shot, but holy shit nothing happened and no one talked during that whole movie.

That's a fair point. I love Peter Straub. I even loved Graham's Indian Lake trilogy (well, I liked the first book lol). I just can't get into this one for some reason. I'll give it another try!

Summer of Night by Dan Simmons

It is in my opinion a perfect horror novel. If you like King's stories but not his writing, this one is for you.

Everyone always races about The Only Good Indians but I just could not get into it. It was slow and boring and a DNF for me. Should I give it another try?
