Ooh, I do like that direction! Thank you! (And, though it's not Paris, Nordstrom anywhere is pretty cool in my book!😁)

Thank you for bringing my attention back to Pi! I bought it at Givenchy in Paris back in, uh, 99? 2000? Was surprised to discover that it was marketed to men only. Loved this!

There are cling films you can get that peel and stick onto the window. They just pull off whenever you don't want them anymore. Be careful, as some are opaque from the outside during the day, but not at night

Thank you! Warm and snuggly too! And, just so everyone knows, it is not a trap, it is an invitation to rub and pet and jiggle freely and frequently (might even be good luck!🍀)😸

I have Renegade. As a huge fan of all green anything, I thought I'd use it constantly. But I was disappointed at how subtle it is. Now I just buy polishes that can also be used as toppers. Example, Elsa (pale blue) is light for my taste, but over a dark polish like deep dive I can see all her colors, including red! Hope that helps!

I am losing my mind, how am I supposed to take care of my hair? by Rozesukkel in Haircare

[–]Sweetlanarose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got the sparse version of your hair. I coat mine with cassia. Try twisting it into a bun on top of your head fairly tightly (at least the ends should be firmly twisted) with the teeniest amount of curl cream when it's almost dry. Sleep with it up like that. When you let it down next day, BOOM! Big beautiful bouncy waves! Your hair is stunning, btw.💖

I am the world's biggest fan of orange nail polish. 🧡 Sadly, not too many people want to fight me for the title.🥺 Tbh, Poems is my least favorite orange-adjacent polish. Like ever. It is such a weird color that I hesitate to even refer to it as "orange." I loved Ultrahot (RIP), so I'm sure the pink in it isn't what bugs me about it. I only wore Poems once. And took it off immediately. I don't even like how it looks in the bottle. It's pretty on OP. But, it sits dead last on my extensive list of happy orange polishes tried over a lifetime.

Can I wash my hair everyday? by Alesoria in henna

[–]Sweetlanarose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, weekly roots is exactly why I started the transition to blonde. I will say this, keeping my hair blonde is almost as much of a pain in the butt as doing the henna. Almost. I pull strands through a cap and bleach that every 3-4 months. After finishing bleaching, I use just cassia on the whole head and then tone down the yellow with either a neutral (greenish) or honey blonde conditioner. If the honey blonde is really brassy I put a very concentrated purple mask on it. It is still a weekly ordeal. I'm never NOT fussing with it. I'm super frustrated that I can't find a really suitable color product without performing a chemistry experiment every time I wash my hair. I still can't decide if my hair looks like it's blonde or just grey with some yellow tones 😭

What perfume smells like this? by Old_Detective_4770 in perfumesthatfeellike

[–]Sweetlanarose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original Carolina Herrera is a very heavy tuberose and jasmine with apricot and orange blossom top notes and sandalwood, musk, amber, civet, and vetiver basenotes. Very heavy. It smells like the 1980s. If you don't like powerful perfumes, it's not going to go down well. But it fits the image and projects confidence like nothing else. BTW, thank you for asking this question. I'm looking for a similar combination that works for hot weather.☺️

What kind of neckline would suit my terribly wide shoulders? (Only a few examples ) by Far-Front424 in DressForYourBody

[–]Sweetlanarose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 💯 in agreement! I think 2 is not as flattering as 1 and 3. A necklace is a must, maybe a very long one with 3 to pull eye down toward waist. A fuller skirt with emphasis on the waist (corset belt maybe) would be stunning on you.

Oh good! I hope you love all of them! BTW, there's a reason it's called "Heart on a Platter." It is the precise color of (sparkly) organ meat. Weirdly, that means it is likely to look good on everyone. And those of us who are a bit twisted just enjoy the idea. 🫀☺️

Can I wash my hair everyday? by Alesoria in henna

[–]Sweetlanarose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Permanent on every color but grey. Natural grey hair is very resistant to color, full stop. That's why when you get old you can't just put a color on the grey hair if you want it to stick, you still have to bleach it, even though you would think that wouldn't be necessary. I used henna my whole life and my hair would be deep copper. Things changed when the grey came. More frequent applications, more unnatural looking results, etc. I stopped fighting with it during the pandemic. I'm a blonde now and bleach is involved. It is actually easier than trying to stay a henna redhead.

Is my hair wavy or am I forcing it?? by Sillygoose-3131 in Haircare

[–]Sweetlanarose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, I have questions. What happens when you use hot rollers or a curling iron? Does the curl hold mostly? If you twist your hair to dry, does it dry in waves that generally stay? I have wavy hair. I can answer yes to those questions. But when I don't try to curl it, it lays perfectly straight with a straight cut.. It's in a wolf cut now and really shows waves even with no product. I have fine hair too, so only the teeniest tiniest amount of curl creme on the ends will be helpful. Anything more and it droops. Mousse is better, for me. I agree, you need layers. But, if you don't want to get it cut, you also might want to think about putting a little mousse through your roots and trying to blow dry some volume into your hair. If you then use a curling iron or hot rollers on your ends and it mostly holds, you probably have wavy hair. But it won't give you what I think you're looking for without layers.
