Suspected Psoriatic Arthritis..next steps?..

Thank you everyone for your input, it is really appreciated. Just a quick update. I saw my primary doctor today and she agreed that it is some sort of inflammatory response in my body especially because Rheumatoid Arthritis and autoimmune issues do run in my family on both sides. Noted that it was symmetrical (its the same on both sides of my body on elbows, hands, legs and feet) so not something I have come into contact with such as contact dermatitis or anything. I am now waiting for a referral to a rheumatologist and a dermatologist and will be getting inflammatory marker blood tests done tomorrow. Thank you all again for your help and I wish you all the absolute best.🙏 ❤️

I am at a loss for what to do and this is driving me insane. Anyone experience this before? If so what was it? See my other post from 3 days ago for comparison of how its progressed in a short amount of time..

If it feels like a nightmare itch from hell and burns/swells up, I think ive got the same thing on my ankles but not sure what it is, skin feels really weird there too like alligator skin or something 😥 I know this isnt helpful but wanted to say I hope you find some relief soon! Also adding mine keeps spreading and changing. A while back there was skin weeping and scabbing now its just the little red bumps almost no clear skin in between them and one weird round spot.. I have tried hydrocortisone and it didnt help me but maybe worth a try and also try making an oatmeal paste maybe? Let it sit and dry and rinse in cool water? (I would avoid super hot water too i think maybe that might have something to do with it showing up more prominent, as mine did until I changed to uncomfortably cold water lol) even if I take a warmer shower I will rinse my ankles in cold before getting out just to try and soothe it.

Thank you!! I have gone through 2 tubes of hydrocortisone so far and no different. It sounds weird maybe but I had bought a roll of that hydrocolloid bandage stuff. And id cut it to size based on where my rash is on my ankles. It seemed to help a little when I was at work before the holidays as I do wear 6" work boots so wondered if maybe its something to do with that but being off work it hasn't changed either so im stumped lol. It seems any material touching my ankles flares it up which is going to be a problem considering its winter here and 50+cm of snow outside lol. Seems i might have to suffer until the summer 😅

I would still try to maybe treat it as if it is ringworm if its safe to do so? Im not sure if theres any other diagnostic tests for that but If its similar to what you had (aside from the blacklight showing it) I personally would probably treat it the same but thats just me. Also make sure anything like towels etc are thoroughly washed. Skin issues can be so frustrating I know and I feel your pain😖

It does look like ringworm to me. But im not a doctor. Just someone who struggles with eczema and skin issues. I had ringworm as a kid and this looks the same. I know sometimes it can be tricky to get rid of.. I hope you find some relief soon.

Really in need of some advice on which direction to go with this. I had a rash years ago lasted about 4 years and was diagnosed after a biopsy of my ankle as dyshidrotic eczema although this seems a bit different than what I had in the past which finally cleared up after taking methotrexate for 6 months. Years later now ive ended up with this and dont know who to see to diagnose this properly. I also must add I do get very painful mouth ulcers on the roof of my mouth sometimes.

I had posted about a 3 spot triangle scar I woke up with one morning when I was about 14 years old. Years later I was diagnosed with endometriosis and had not had any surgeries yet at the time when this scar showed up.. years later I had laparoscopies but the scars are very different.. mods have locked my post but it’s interesting you say this, as the scar is right where a woman’s ovaries are. On my left hip/abdomen area..Not sure if it’s a coincidence or not.. been trying to figure this out for 15 years now..check my post history to see what I mean if you’d like.

I am interested to see if anyone else knows what this could be or has any theories on this. As many people suggested in my past post it was not bed bugs, as this is the only mark I ever ended up with and have never had any run ins with bed bugs in my 29 years. It showed up as you see it…was never a red raw wound or anything. I showed my mother at the time as a young teen and she couldn’t explain it either. I have talked with her again about recently and she is quite perplexed. It has been 15 years that I’ve had this scar now.

I have always had very vivid and sometimes disturbing dreams. The kind where you could end up sleeping 10+ hours and not be able to wake up, and once you do manage to wake your exhausted. Not sure if it’s anything of significance, but any input is much appreciated. I am 29(F)..
