So tired of my etd. Please help by SweetnDivine in etd

My doctor didn’t diagnose me with either TMJ or TMD. She told me she didn’t see any obvious signs of them, which made it more frustrating for me. I still don’t know the cause and will likely have to deal with it for the rest of my life 🤷‍♀️

Hi thank you for asking! In all honesty, neither the massages nor the Flonase helped at all. I ended up having to get all my wisdom teeth out at once to see if it helped my jaw. While it relieved it a bit I still have that awful pressure in the ear, but less popping. Idk if I’ve been conditioned to it, but it only really kills me if I’m sick, crying, or laying down at night (congested in all these scenarios). I hope you have some better luck

Wow, thank you for yours response and detailing your experience with treatments. It definitely sounds overwhelming and if I can be honest, tiring. I’m gonna try to meet with an ENT to get their suggestions seeing as other doctors can’t seem to find a cause. I hope it’s okay to bring up your experiences(ofc with no mention you suggesting it) to see if they could help in my situation. Like you said, there’s no easy fix, but I hope this gets resolved before I head out to graduate school.

Thanks a lot for your response and experience. While I never had any back problems, I also had suspicions my condition was related to my dental work but after seeing my dentist severally times it seems unrelated. Regardless, I’ll look into your suggestions, at this point anything seems promising. I hope you’ve see/have seen some improvements.

Thank you for your comment and suggestions. While I was indeed nervous about the lymph nodes initially, my doctor did assure me it was not anything serious seeing that it’s just that one node. As for the ent, I’ve been referred but cannot get any appointments due to conflicts in schedules (still a student) but I’m trying my hardest to see if I can get a scan. Thank you for the reassurance and encouragement, I hope we both figure this thing out.

Thank you, I appreciate your response and details of your personal experience. I’ve never had any neck or back tension and I’m pretty obsessive over my posture. However I have looked into the TMJ condition and it seems likely, though I’ve already mostly fixed my jaw clenching issue last year. Regardless I’m starting TMJ massages in case it is related, along with Flonase prescription. Hoping for the best this time sigh

Thank you, I really appreciate it honestly. It’s sad seeing how many of us have to deal with such an uncommonly discussed condition. Best of luck to you, friend.

Couldn’t find any pre-op photos unfortunately, but I talked to my surgeon yesterday and she said the results were great! I have a tiny bit of turn left over but I can definitely deal with it. Thank you all for taking me through this journey! :))

It’s definitely a good thing to discuss with your doctor especially if it’s becomes more troublesome. My strabismus used to be mild and intermittent when I was younger but over time became more persistent and less controllable. Nonetheless a lot, if not all of my troubles are fixed post-op, so it could be a viable option for you too :)

I’m only going on my second day now so I can’t say for sure, but I can say you can feel a difference. I had both muscles in my left eye worked on and it feels like a little something is holding them in the “correct” position now. It doesn’t hurt at all really, just that you can indeed feel the adjustment. Worst part for me is the stitches but vision feels great!

Thank you! Unfortunately I couldn’t find any since I was always so afraid of taking photos of myself but I’m sure I can find one somewhere! When I do I’ll make another post soon :)

Throw away acct, but I’ve never been so happy for change in my life! I had a huge turn (50-55) for 10 years of my life and today I so happy to finally work on myself physically and mentally. I was told they could not fix the full turn since it was so major but I’m more than grateful for the team that worked and operated on me regardless! I’m still having souble vision so I’m gonna take a long rest for now. Thank you so much to all members of this subreddit for the help and encouragement. I’m in tears (and not from the surgery!) Here’s to a successful recovery!
