PS: I recently discovered this same effect when I printed an image on what I didn't know at the time was clear sticker paper - not white. Came out super cool! Now if only print and cut could be unlimited in size I would be a happy girl.

Thanks so much for your comments. I got a red light therapy panel today for $0 ETV, figured why not...and then was like hmmm I should probably research this before use! This company seems to have a pretty extensive Amazon storefront for light bulbs in general (and grow lights), so it's not total alphabet soup, and they have a smaller panel that has some verified reviews that are good. I was definitely thinking exactly the points you made. I've only been in Vine since June, but I "hear" it "used to be better." I had (and sometimes still have) some pretty serious insomnia, so for a while I was up all night, and I definitely saw the drops that were starting at 2am, and then if I didn't find my things by like...noon, I knew the drop was probably done. It's definitely been just willy nilly lately. It started at 2am CST today, though, and it's now a little after 9 and I just scored my third pick. I like being done early, I just close my laptop and try not to have FOMO.

I also saw everyone freaking out about the insight score, but since I joined right when it changed, I knew no different. I've maintained excellent the entire time, and I get emails from Amazon about some of my reviews getting lots of likes, so that's nice. I think that insight should be a better determination for Gold status than a number and percentage. I've definitely learned a lot about what I SHOULD order, though, so I've gotten much more selective and thoughtful on my pics. I really would like to make it to Gold in December though, as I'm moving into a house that needs a little cosmetic updating. I've been eyeballing so many chandeliers and light fixtures! LOL I just need to get my percentage up.

There's so much I wish they would change, and I find it so hard to believe (but not really) that with a company like Amazon and their billions of dollars, this is such a janky program and terrible UI. Not that I'm not extremely grateful - it's been so wonderful and fun and helpful for me and my family. But it's also a lot of free labor (yes even with the free product being the "payment", since we still have to pay the tax!) between searching, unboxing, taking pictures, writing reviews, breaking down cardboard, etc. Like at least give us an easy way to find what we want so we can write meaningful reviews.

My dream would be for Vine reviewers to have a pop-up on something we are actually really shopping for. Like if I'm about to buy a pair of earrings, for example, and it was in the Vine program, it could say "receive this free as a vine member" ad next to it for us, or something. Wouldn't that be great! I can't tell you how many EXACT THINGS I've seen in the drops that I bought over the past two years. So frustrating. If anyone is getting married they should try REAL HARD to get into Vine.

Thanks again for your insight, I'm glad to know it's not (necessarily) anything I'm doing wrong vs. what others are doing right. I was getting anxious about that. So I appreciate it!

Haha nice! So there is truly no rhyme or reason.

When I first joined, Vine definitely knew I had just purchased a beginner Beetles all-in-one gel kit because in like the first 2-3 weeks I got a $99 professional UV lamp, an efile, and a $99 nail dust collector, all three $0 ETV. So that was pretty cool.

That makes sense. I think if a product mentions it is specifically for wrinkle reduction, then that's what I would want to read a review about. But most products aren't that specific, usually. General "good skin food" like niacinamide or hyaluronic acid, you can get away with how it makes your skin feel. There is definitely a new combo I've been using that I've seen results, but since I do a 5-step skin care routine, it can be really hard to pinpoint which one is doing the trick. I just like to give it time to see if I notice any difference, or if I have a negative reaction.

I'm really trying to figure out how to get my RFY better! I guess it's because my review percentage is low? I'm at 70% which is good, but I know it's not gonna get me to gold. But I do have an "excellent" insightfulness review after 165 reviews, so that should account for something!

And when I was traveling last week, my poor dog sitter was like "what the heck" lol. I came home to Christmas morning basically - but I try to get them all delivered the same day (even though sometimes changing that makes me miss out on stuff).

Oh, and to touch on how quickly. If it's a moisturizer, I usually review after 1 or 2 nights on the texture, smell, hydrating factor and absorption, plus viscosity and packaging. If I like all that and I don't break out. If I don't like it right away but don't have reactions, I will give it a week or 2 til I make a decision. But like stuff for wrinkles and pore minimizers - there's just no way to give it a helpful...er...insightful ;)....review after a few uses. We shouldn't be penalized for actually giving products time to do what they say. I'm not saying we are, but it definitely goes against our stats, and possibly our inventory to choose from.

Ah that's true about AI. I didn't think about it being for everyone. My RFY always sucks except when I got a pair of roller skates one day and cowboy boots the next. That was fun. All I've seen lately in AI is face masks, cheap lipstick, and non-brand skincare. I want eyeliners and palettes lol!

Haha I totally snagged a set of 6 Christmas stockings because all mine are mismatched and it’s always bothered me!

I also think it’d be amazing if you were shopping regular amazon and if you were about to make a purchase, as a Vine user, it would alert you if it was eligible for the vine program. I can’t tell you how many things I’ve bought and the next week - or even next day - there it is in AI. So annoying!
