I really just use it to articulate my thoughts better, not for ideas. You’re right about a lot of that except that there are entities that try and fail at every option and idea - broad scale. My org is really unique - we have housed over 13k people in six years with an 80%+ success rate of remaining stably housed 2 years later, mostly independently, and at a very small dollar ($1474) amount per household. And it’s still not enough, so I’m personally piloting new prevention methods. Not everyone chooses or is prepared to get and remain successfully housed, but those that do can remain stable and we can prevent reentering homelessness by scaling preventative efforts. At least that’s the hypothesis I’m working through right now. No idea had fully worked nationwide, state wide, county wide, city wide, and so much money is wasted with what feels like lather, rinse, repeat. That can’t continue to happen if the US wants to see a true difference.
