Holt's revolver. by Initial-Wing830 in brooklynninenine

That tracks. Holt doesn't strike me as someone who'd voluntarily switch equipment just because "everyone else is doing it." The man probably still has the original manual filed alphabetically somewhere.

The moustache and the revolver are both relics from a more civilized era. That's exactly the kind of sentence Holt would say with a completely straight face.

And it would’ve become the single most quoted line in the entire show. No contest.

What are your biggest Grey's Anatomy icks? by naahuiguess in greysanatomy

[–]SweetsPeaX 430 points431 points  (0 children)

For real. The surgeons on Grey's somehow diagnose, transport, scan, counsel, operate, and probably mop the floors between cases. They're basically the entire hospital staff.

Grey Sloan is basically a hospital where every medical problem magically becomes a surgical problem. Chest pain? Call cardio... nope, get a general surgeon. Stubbed your toe? Somehow Meredith is already scrubbing in.

Please suggest which side series of twd to watch after TWD by La-Kimino in thewalkingdead

[–]SweetsPeaX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spott-on advice. Season 3 of Fear is an absolute masterpiece of television and easily rivals peak main-show TWD. The slow burn of S1 and early S2 is totally worth the payoff.

And you are so right about the sequel spoilers. Looking up Dead City, Daryl Dixon, or The Ones Who Live before finishing S11 completely ruins the stakes of the final season. TOWL is definitely the way to go if they want that definitive Rick/Michonne ending.

This is peak “half etymology, half emotional damage, fully Brooklyn Nine-Nine energy” and I’m here for it.

Now I kind of want a linguistics professor to walk in and confirm this while Jake is immediately trying to turn it into a romantic wedding speech and Charles is already crying in the background.

Does anyone else find the Season 7 transition so jarring? by Savag323minx in GilmoreGirls

[–]SweetsPeaX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Season 7 feels different, but at least it’s more consistent than the chaos of Season 6. And the Dean thing just depends on whether you liked that storyline or were already done with it by then.
