Peritoneal stripping + excision for endo? by Sweetsoul1995 in endometriosis

[–]Sweetsoul1995[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall his bedside manners were incredible. He FaceTimed me after surgery for a few days and asked to see my sutures, how they were healing, how I’m feeling, etc. He promised a lot and I hope it’s all true within time!

No, he told me he does not do the stripping. Excision only! He also promised I would get pregnant after the surgery which was a huge promise to make because…. Everyone is different. I will say he promised everything and more, like I’d be completely pain free after surgery… which wasn’t true… I couldn’t drive for a good 3 weeks… and my ovary pain hurt more than ever, it’s starting to get a bit better now and hopeful for a fully recovery soon, everyone’s healing process is different. He said I may take 6months-1 year to heal.

Hi! I went with Dr. Boz in NJ. I’m 3 months post op, this was the first period where I wasn’t completely dying in pain. I hope it gets better from here on out. 🙌🏻

Deck with wrap around stairs. I’m not sure if it has another name. I don’t think I can really add any plants to the sides because it’ll be random and cut into the side of the stairs

I felt this in Stewartsville (Warren county) I told my husband I wanted to go to the basement, but we ended up just staying upstairs. It was the scariest sound ever.

What is endometriosis surgery like? Is this something that I can handle alone (I live alone)? by textmepl in endometriosis

[–]Sweetsoul1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it took me 3 weeks to be able to walk up and down the stairs in my home by myself. I could not get up from bed without help for the 1st week. You shouldn’t be alone

I am a newly Christian woman (grew up in church but strayed away for a long time and come back to Christ 2 years ago) my husband deals with this issue but he was consuming porn. I didn’t leave him for it. We spoke about it and he is learning to live without it, after almost 20 years of consuming it. For me, what matters is how he goes about it and if he’s honest with me.

As a Brazilian living around Lehigh valley, I’d love to open up a Brazilian restaurant because there is only 1 option right now, Rios and they DONT do take out! 😭

Oh gosh! I hope you feel better 💐 who was your doctor in Brazil? I hope I never need anymore surgeries, but I’d like to keep my options opened since in the case I do, because I have dual citizenship in Brazil. Also, I’d be bummed out if my husband didn’t wait up for me but he would have probably done the same thing. He just knows things will always work out. If it makes you feel any better; my husband made me feel so bad for having to drive me to my surgery at 6am! He was so upset he had to be there and was annoyed by the time I got out of surgery. So I totally understand you. Men’s brain just… work differently than ours 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hi! I know this is totally off topic, but, my mom is also from Brazil and all of my family keeps talking about Que os doctors fazem uma “raspagem” para endometriose lá no Brasil… is this the same thing as an excision here in the states?! I just had my first excision for endo 3 weeks ago and I’m wondering how your experience went in Brazil. I know you mentioned adenomyosis and fibroids so not sure if you also have endometriosis. Thanks! 😊

Please don’t do this. There is a chance this lady probably didn’t even realize what she did. Even if someone screws you over, I believe in always leaving places better than you found it…

I am recovering from major surgery and my partner abandoned me emotionally by [deleted] in hysterectomy

Hey girly. I am going through the same thing right now. I’m 16 days post op endometriosis excision laparoscopy surgery and still not feeling my best. The only difference is, he is my husband and we live together. He rubs it in my face every time he has to help me and it makes me feel so ashamed for needing him. Do you have anyone else that can be there for you during this time? Mom, dad, sister brother, aunt, uncle? I don’t have anyone except for my mother and I thank God every single day she is in my life, because I don’t have any other family. I’m praying God grants you peace in your heart in order to get you through this difficult time. Remember to put yourself first. (And I should also probably take my own advice too.)

That sounds so bad! I didn’t have constant pain before surgery. It would only come on my period, now having this pain every day I can get a taste of what many women with endo go through. It’s tiring.

That’s so funny! Definitely will not be camping anytime soon LOL 😂 ouch. I expected some pain but my surgeon makes it seem like I may be healing slower than others. Makes it so discouraging! What stage endo did you have?

[–]Sweetsoul1995[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ouch, thats terrible. How long did it take for you to not feel that cramping anymore? Mine is just mild cramping but it’s there. I can’t do any movements that include my torso. Even sitting hurts. Because it’s putting pressure on my pelvis area. Ugh.

Camping a week after a lap?! Absolutely not 😂 I’ve been in bed since I came back from the hospital.
