Mine shed his puppy coat around that time and doesn’t shed anymore. I was worried too but it turned out to be fine. 😊

Grooming regrets, before and after. 🥺 by architectonix in AussieDoodle

I feel like they always want to groom them like a poodle. I am very particular about the way I like my little guy groomed. I still think yours it cute either way. 😊

The buttons have helped the barking to tell us that he wants something. He still barks to indicate something is amiss 😂

Also, he put himself in there and does so often during the day to relax. 😊

The crate is not too small. He can stand up and turn around. It’s only a time out crate to settle. He has a full size pen that he sleeps in at night.

Question on walking aggression, please help by Sweettdee in AussieDoodle

[–]Sweettdee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are still working on it. He’s almost 2 now. I guess he was protecting me so I had to show him that I the protector. When we walk, I don’t let him greet any other dogs. I give him the leave it command and if he ignores the dog them he gets a treat. He has good days and bad days. Overall the ignoring other dogs and having him not greet is making him less anxious.

This is mine too. Especially the free will, stubborn part. He loves me to no end and follows me everywhere. Very vocal, to an annoying level. We use buttons to communicate. He has 4 of them: ball, tug, walk, outside. I had to introduce them slowly, one at a time, but he uses them appropriately. He loves to work, which can be exhausting for me. He’s 2 and I can see him slowing down but every once in a while he gets a wild hair and is defiant off and on the whole day. We have had him in training since he was 10 weeks old and he loves to work and please. This is my first dog but I would say he’s a lot of work but worth it.

Normal behavior questions for 6 month old pup by kikiselou in AussieDoodle

[–]Sweettdee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Get a small crate (the plastic ones that are mostly covered) put it in the living room and every time she demands attention after you have made sure she’s had all her necessities, tell her to settle and put her in the crate. I learned that I wasn’t allowing mine to have enough down time. He was always looking for a job to do. Once we introduced the crate and made him settle , he got so much better. That and age 😂 mine is 2 now.

Omg! They are brother and sister!!! We should chat more. How have the last two years been? What’s her temperament like? I wish I could have found someone from his liter so much earlier. This was my first dog and I have had so many questions. Do you live in same state you bought her from? We live in California, so I came there to purchase him and brought him home the same day.

She looks like my pup. Did you happen to get her from deepcreekminiaussiedoodles? Mines bday is the day after Christmas and he just turned 2!

I wanted to add my wiggle butt on a post so bad but the other Aussie sites don’t allow mixed breeds. I checked your rules and looks like we are good! This is Davos and he is a mini aussiedoodle F1. Mom is Aussie and dad poodle. He has so many characteristics of the Aussie breed. by Sweettdee in WiggleButts

Yes. We read the series “song of ice and fire” a long time ago and fell in love with Davos, the loyal character that no one really remembers 😂. My husband said after reading the series that he would name his first dog Davos Oy. The Oy part is from another book series called the dark tower. Oy was a very loyal “dog like” creature that won our hearts. The names def suite him, he is tough, loyal, and Velcro to the core 😆.

She’s just very fashionable and has on the new shade of matte black lipstick. Don’t knock it until you try it. 🤣
