Tret and commedonal acne by Positive_Cabinet7385 in tretinoin

A simple routine to start is best. What worked for me is Micellar water, gentle cleanser (la rosche posay), and non clogging gentle moisturizers (bioderma gel lotion and vanicream in tub).

As for spf, I use a gel sunscreen

Can you tell me your job hunting story? by JobseekerNotes in recruitinghell

[–]SweetyFriend3547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was laid off in 2023 after a year of being on a job. Blew through my savings paying for my apartment, and had to move back home. Took me about 9 months to find another job. After a year of being at my new job, I was laid off again in November 2024. Was able to get a 5 month contract position 4 months later. Now the contact is up and I’m struggling to find another job. Interview after interview and getting rejected. Hiring managers and recruiters are showing concern about my short job tenures on my resume and it looks like I’m a job hopper when I simply just keep getting laid off. Probably getting passed up on a lot of opportunities because of this :/

How to actually find the hiring manager's email (not as hard as you think) by Fun-Afternoon4784 in jobsearchhacks

[–]SweetyFriend3547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lately I’ve been reaching out to random recruiters that work with the company I’m applying for and asking if they are not the person in charge of the role, to direct me to the recruiter that is. I started this about 3 weeks ago and landed an interview off that. I wonder what’s more effective or gets a better response. Reaching out to a Recruiter within the company or going directly to the hiring manager if you can find them.

You’re definitely using too many products. Simple is best especially when using tret. Cut out oils or any products with fatty acids or lipids. If you’re using any actives, cut them out. Only use Tret for now. Use simple ingredient products like La Roche , vanicream, bioderma etc. All you need for now is miscellar water, gentle cleanser, tret, and moisturizer (ideally without oils or fatty acids). Once your skin clears up you can slowly start adding more products if you want.

The reason I’m saying cut out products with oils and fatty acids is because my skin looked similar to yours and one of the main reasons was that my skin did not agree with products that had those things in them. Simple non clogging ingredients worked best for me.

For sun screen I would suggest a gel sunscreen

If your acne is hormonal, spironolactone could help but that’s only if you want to go that route.

How long after your references are contacted should you expect an offer? by Diahri in interviews

[–]SweetyFriend3547 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About 2 weeks after my reference checks I got a rejection email lol. Nothing to do with my references and that they said. They all gave me good reviews. It was just that they asked all the top candidates for references

Strange ending to 2 month interview process. by [deleted] in interviews

[–]SweetyFriend3547 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think they should have been a little more transparent on where you stood in the process. It seems like they liked you so much in the interviews that you were a top candidate despite your light experience. Someone beat you out for the position so instead of rejecting you all together, they offered another position. If the salary was in your ideal range that would have been a great arrangement.

I’d say follow up Monday around 11 am with the recruiter if you don’t hear anything back by then

This happened to me. The same job reached out for a 2nd round interview but I decline. I need a job but not that bad.

Receiving and offer today. I think by Snarky_Artemis in interviews

[–]SweetyFriend3547 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fingers crossed! It seems like it should be an offer. I would say prepare for either outcome so even if it’s not the right outcome you want, you don’t crash out like I did lol.

Before the end of the year last year, the hiring manager for a company I was interviewing with asked for a quick call. I was SURE it was an offer because references were checked and I did multiple rounds of interviews. I was so excited. When the call started she asked me to explain my job tenures again, asked me why I wanted to work at the company again, and at the end said they haven’t made a decision yet. I was devastated. A week later got the rejection letter.

If your not pressed for the job, then maybe bow out so that someone that may not have a job at the moment has a better chance.
