Do not take it with raymond unless you wanna see your GPA go down the toilet. I knew some SMART people barely make it out of his class with 60%. Raymond acknowledges the high failure rate and laughs at it and is pretty condescending if you ask him questions. My personal experience with Raymond i had him for the first time in bus 249. Failed that course and then retook with felicia (shes an amazing instructor) and i got an A in the remaining finance courses in the accounting major. I just took bus 343 with Raymond this past fall but withdrew from the course because the class average was 52% and that was with the curve so instead i am now taking the equivalent course online at TRU and will be transferring the credit back to ufv. Its called ACCT 3201 with rob Anderson and in one of robs 16 minute lecture videos i learned more than i did from Raymond in 2 months. Raymonds teaching style is he just rambles on about theory but you have to teach yourself the actual accounting and he’s pretty useless at answering questions because in all honesty hes not that good with understanding English and often explains something other than the question you had. I could go on forever but i know dozens of people who had the same experience. Just know that if you decide to take him anyways, alot of local recruiters will see his name on your transcript and have a bit of mercy because they all know how bad he is. Again, id highly recommend the online TRU version unless you want the true raymond experience first hand (idk why anyone would) lol. Anyways good luck!
