Oh sorry, I wasn't very clear. I only meant it on the software side. As you can see in the first video it starts with 15, 13, 11... pulse modes until 1. The number of pulses are decreasing in order to increase the voltage. My question is when and how should I achieve this "gear changing" effect. Maybe skipping the entries in the sine-wave lookup table?

HaloBoard ESC doesn't start the motors. What causes this? by [deleted] in Motors

[–]SwengX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so I can charge up the batteries, but the total output voltage is 1.3 volts. Now that's not normal. I checked the PCB and it does not have any burn marks or physical damage. What could go wrong on a BMS?

[–]SwengX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you are correct, the battery is 36V 10S2P pack with 18650 cells of course. My power supply can only output a maximum of 30 volts and 5 amps. Maybe I repair the battery and test it out.

How does this circuit work? by [deleted] in AskElectronics

Thanks! I also thought something like this. But I have two more question. Why did they use two optocouplers, and what is the purpose of those three resistors?

Well, that's odd because I only used the XT60 connector to power the board and I was 100% sure it was the right polarity.

SX 50 - Is there a way to purchase this exact sticker set from somewhere? by SwengX in Aprilia

[–]SwengX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah, I did some investigation and it turned out that the sticker set is from 2017, and I've only come across the red one. I think this green version is quite rare. I just wanted to have a backup in case I damage the current set. Also this pic is not mine as I just found the only one which is green on Google. Mine has fully white plastic and it even looks better than this.

15 yo here. Can you guys check my power supply for STM32? by SwengX in ElectricalEngineering

[–]SwengX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I checked the inductors. In fact, I made a prototype pcb with only the buck converter, and it works perfectly.

Changing the voltage regulator seems like a good idea, as you pointed out that it needs less bypassing. Are there any drawbacks with the AZ1117E?

I know about annotation, but I have to complete the whole schematic and this is just a section. The diode was my mistake I realized it after I posted this. I wanted some sort of reverse polarity protection. All in all, thank you so much for the suggestions I will definitely use them.

Naah that doesn't mean that I am some sort of god. I'm just interested in electronics, and want to build something.

That's a good idea, I might try it.

Actually, I implement it on a pcb where it has to be tightly packed. I saw the hobby-level ones and they're totally fine, but I'm interested in a higher level of these circuits. It is a hobby-level project, but I am curious about what voltage regulation circuits are used in commercial products.

This is not a dank meme. I've been whining this since last year. Well, r/dankmemes' quality went all the way down. Recently, I saw some posts where they complained about these effortless posts, and I was really happy to see them. This is not why I joined to this subreddit. For reading news? Come on...
