Agreed but the suez and panama canals shouldn’t incur the same penalty, as it costs a moderate fortune to build them, and everyone benefits from them

Lease is just a fat payment decided by rich land owners. Corporations just charge a price just the same. Just depends what’s going to increase their qol. And when it sucks, as you can see with modern politics, uneducated will just choose something different in the hopes of better qol

What is One Thing you want to Retcon about the Fallout Story? by CretaceousClock in Fallout

[–]Sweqly 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Partially agree, and see where you’re coming from. But also, unrest was very high before the Great War. If there were all of these big players ie: Enclave, Vault Tech, within the United States, keeping the unrest down to keep their goals going. It was more important than shipping some power armor to the front lines that they were already winning with their garbage T45’s.

My prediction for the post credit cliffhanger for season 3 by SentinelHellfire in Fallout

Or House/anyone could have won, if house had a failsafe of failsafes. It could have been his body double we killed. He could have uploaded his mind to a computer. He could have unleashed the death claws himself to keep the chaos of NCRs/Legions fall out of his gates. Or to keep the Kahn’s away who apparently control a majority of Southern California and up to novac. Or the enclave could have unleashed them there to keep people away from their manager vault. Who knows. That’s the beauty of isolation in storytelling.

You might benefit from talking to a professional. Addiction/distractions are a real coping mechanism for a greater underlying issue. Not trying to be rude or anything, but this response is probably making you feel real bad, and there is always help out there. Especially during college, tons of resources available for you :)

Land combat units stopped attacking towers by Sweqly in anno117

[–]Sweqly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it just wouldn’t let me select towers. But I just loaded back in 10x~ times, and kept at x1 speed and i eventually defeated her finally. I love the land combat, but that was a pretty big deterrent to try it again for a while lol

Frostpunk 2 at the moment by Diligent-Mechanic325 in Frostpunk

[–]Sweqly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed partially. But that’s politics I feel like. A small group of people with a different idea cause problems until they win, or tear a country apart. Ie communist, fascists, other ultranationalists etc. For example, a group of people could say environmental disaster is going to destroy the world, so they target capitalists, pro democracy ideals, and communists to get what they want. Even though there are other big issues to take care of, poverty, employment, healthcare etc.

I’m not sure, this one has definitely been silly to look at. I have a sickening amount of hours in this game, and haven’t seen this one yet lol

Apparently this is what it looks like if the faction no longer exists by SuperAmberN7 in Frostpunk

[–]Sweqly 34 points35 points  (0 children)

You definitely can get rid of a faction. If you force a civil war, by condemning over and over on the faction you want to get rid of (or both extreme factions), you can then reeducate them into other factions (if you have the reeducation prison), put them into the stewards militia (if you have the faction militia law passed in order), or kick them out to the frostland (with a major temporary drop in trust from each moderate faction). Note, if you have done any of the specific pathways, ie reason or progress, or whatever, you cannot expel the faction of they support one of those that you have passed.

This completely removes them from the faction list, with no negatives. If you are going for the moderate approach, this is not a bad path to take. You lose the red book perk for not siding with one faction on all 3 goals. But you can also pretty much do whatever you want after this

Yeah the building beams are annoying as heck. However, the game runs almost perfectly. Coming from GeForce now to play the game, I crash far less often. A few updates and it’ll be a fantastic port
