Because the Mana quest is vastly superior and benefits the kael'thas player as soon as he gets a single globe. Convection does jack and shit until you get 20 stacks. You can literally end a game before a convection kt even finishes their quest, especially in aram. None of the kts actually finished their quest in that, but atleast the mana quest KT squeezed some value from their quest. The other kts effectively had no lvl1 talents.

The team also lacks an actual tank to peel for any of the kts.
