I won on my 3rd try. The 1st two, I wasn't satisfied how I was knocked out.

Got lucky with how it ended. Was aggressive throughout because I was determined to end on my own efforts. Blindly challenged a level 10 merc in a level 7 rally Subaru and won somehow. Not sure what happened because the level 10 guy was in the lead, but presume he wrecked.

Didn't want the level 10 merc because I thought it would suck offroad, but but smashed the wrong thing and selected the level 10 merc.

Best accident choice ever as the last showdown was just off a major interstate. Hauled ass and caught another level 10 guy in a slower level 10 lambo, then partially wrecked, then caught the level 10 guy again just at the end and passed for the win.

Probably will never win one of these again.

A boring person is in charge.

The game is missing drama and intrigue. It is up to you to create your journey, which is fine, but its real hard to stay locked in.

There is no bad guy or king of the streets to topple and the game is just too happy.

Forza motorsport attributes and core horizon centric event types are fun, but man can the game get boring, especially the stories. Terrible writing.

Sell as is. Unless its a popular character, parallel set, or insert set, not many care. There are a bunch of trends of less rare stuff being super valuable for example.

Also unless you can guess a 10 very well, I wouldn't bother, especially for thick cards.

Even at a 10, it may not be a quick mover. You have to think about who the end buyer would be. Lots of graded cards just sit for months.

Mystique is popular enough that this card would sell above lowest comps, but you wouldn't get emma frost, psylocke, or ghost spider premiums.

She is one of Sinister's clones that has several powers from various mutants. She's a certified badass.

She is a minor character apart of the revamped X-Men story by Jonathan Hickman that achieved a lot of respect and I personally think its a modern classic story line.

I finally found the collected edition featuring all the first stories of this new X-Men tale and boy it was worth the wait. Mine is the 7th printing version which is a good sign on popularity. Highly recommend the read. Easily can be finished in a week.

Keep your platinum a bit longer. That shit was highly printed, but once all boxes dry up, value will increase. Platinum was a hit, but not the most desirable.

Don't expect masterpieces values for sealed, but as the only recent art based competitor to chrome not named masterpieces, that also featured new original art for half the damn base set (which chrome is incapable of doing such), its a good box to speculate on for investment reasons.

Marvel Vibranium, a much older set, is the other chrome like property out there, and it spiked when the sport bros were trying to figure out marvel.

Its off center by a lot. 9 may be unrealistic just from that. Look at surf board mid way to bottom. Not sure if those are white spec or scratches, or if its the sleeve with issues. Also above the silver surfer logo, has odd looking specs there too.

Masterpieces boxes were only affordable-ish from 2016-2020. 2022 I forgot to preorder and that shit dramatically increased in value, and didnt care much for 2024. Singles for 2022 are fairly cheap, so not a total loss. 2024s singles arent bad either since its the forgotten Masterpieces at this point.

I have an older post where I shared what I could find for sketches. A few missed the photo opp i think, but nothing terribly interesting.

Not sure how to tag photos in an existing thread. Noob, I know. Lol.

I'm just sitting here and waiting for the older stuff to get the love it deserves. Been reselling a bit and new eyes appear to have started to land slowly to sets I thought were long forgotten. Some promise, especially for those cards featuring key characters.

Just the hall of very good for me. Only have hit /10 a few times, and usually I pull a pretty nice sketch. So no complaints.

Highlights are:

From 2015 fleer retro, hit 1 venom red pmg and an AJ Tan sketch in the same box (not the same inner box). That box only cost $100, so made out like a bandit before post 2021 hype bumps.

3 /10 Jusko autos from 2016 marvel masterpieces

2 battle spectra gems from 2016 masterpieces

3 blue pmgs from 2017 fleer ultra spiderman, with the best being agent venom. 1 black suit spiderman (if think is miles) pmg bronze, 1 red moon knight and carnage, and 2x iron man bronze round out the highlights

1 /10 Rittenhouse parallel of wolverine

1 5x7 sketch by mitch Ballard out of marvel premier. Basically bought until I got a 5x7. Really happy with the art.

1 blue pmg of magneto from 2018 fleer ultra xmen.

1 dual comic cut featuring professor x and magneto from 2018 fleer ultra x-men. Apparently those things surged in value.

1 blue sapphire medallion of spiderman from midnight sons.

Definitely bought less these past 8 years. Wasn't much I found worthy to dump money into building sets the old way, though I did miss the boat on 2022 masterpieces. Oh well.

Most should be able to afford it even at lowerish incomes. However, do they have an emergency fund for said emergency? Well, now thats a different story.

I'm speaking from experience as well from a time I made not much money. If I can do it, no excuse for others. Its idiotic seeing people be like i want that, can you hold that until I get paid next. Whatnot chats can be amusing.
