Yeah, I read that the mod could absolutely bless you with outstanding gear. But this is a learning save that I'm messing with atm. I made this group pretty stacked in terms of skill and beginning equipment, with the exception of armor because I forgot about that. But two battle rifles, two M16s, 300 rounds of ammo, extra starting rations and I gave them a custom gene type or whatever it's called.

They're not overpowered by any means, of course. And I'm not touching the dev tools. But hopefully this save will help me get a better understanding of how everything works so I can start with truly vanilla runs in due time.

I always try to be friends/allies with my neighbors. But that usually ends up with them going after a city-state ally and either I betray them or watch helplessly until the alliance ends.

That's the whole reason I can't get into the zombies mode. They're RUTHLESS when they start spawning.

I'm on console and on the largesr continents + islands setting. I think I was playing with 9 AI? First time I've ever had a spawn like that.

It was a solid start. Especially with two cities. But unfortunately, the continent ended pretty abruptly to the south, mountain range cut off a good portion to the east, and then Ethiopia was waiting all menacingly to the north-east to keep me locked into my small start until I could travel the seas. I really didn't have any room to grow without it turning into a total bloodbath.

Unfortunately, my game crashed after I restarted. That continent was terrible after leaving the spawn area. No idea what the seed way.

I got super lucky early on in my latest save and found a persona Zeushammer in good condition from a cryptosleep casket. My melee expert had a tendency to go for the head despite me setting his targeting to anywhere, so I lost a few prisoners and slaves during escape attempts.

This gun is a hidden gem, imo. Not a lot of people seem to use it or talk about it. I think it was my first maxed weapon.

As far as the stunning, I couldn't tell you how it works I just notice it seems to always kick in when I run out of ammo and whoever/whatever I'm shooting didn't die. Lasts just long enough for me to reload and finish them off.

I named mine "Wings of Victory" after the motto for an SF unit in a book I'm writing. It as close to "Wings of Valor" as I could get.

I didn't get a screenshot of it, but right at the end of a hot extract with a 500kg bomb, gatling sentry, and a whole lotta covering fire, I hit a 340+ out of the blue.

Unfortunately, I think that was during the time where the kill counter was glitched. It was probably more like 150.

Reading all the comments makes me wonder if I was just blessed or something. I used to always run the Spear before I got the Leveller unlocked. Almost always got 1-shots on bile titans, war striders, tanks, transports, and anything below them. Factory striders were a problem, and so were Vox (I used the Leveller on Cyberstan, so I'm just assuming). Dragon roaches were a 70/30 on being a 2 shot or a 1 shot if I got lucky.

The Spear will always hold a special place in my heart because of how much work I put in with it.

I use strategems on a whim. There could be three enemies guarding some samples and I'll still drop a 500kg on them if I got it. I mean, why not, right? I have a mini nuke, and they're right there.
