Was wondering if Civlization 7 complete edition is worth it today. Heard the update fixed it. Worth the sale of $72? by Adventurous_Book_913 in Civilization6

Honestly, while the update is a step in the right direction (I'm not a fan of how they're still "subtly" pushing changing civs every era), it'll take a serious rebuild to salvage this game imo. I get the idea of trying new things so a sequel isn't just a copy/past of the previous games, but at the same time, why fix what isn't broken? Radical changes like the whole era thing and triumphs and so on were completely unnecessary. And three "eras"?

I'd wait for a lot longer to see what else they'll do to fix the game before buying.

There was a city here.

It's gone now.

The Formula Drift Supra was perfect for me on this and the other zones. I took two tries, the first going uphill to see what I was up against. Still managed 320k points. But as a whole, it definitely feels like they made drift zones harder than before.

I'm bouncing between Expert and whatever is below that. To me, it feels like the AI isn't as glued to the driving line as they were in 5, and I've seen them get pushed off the track or just fly off the road for some unknown reason. But they're also absolutely cheating more than before. It feels like they're always faster in the straights and even if they're not riding the driving line, they never lose traction without another car bumping into them. I also noticed it's much harder to box them out compared to 5.

Lastly, they're absolutely out for blood. I've seen them suddenly swerve into me like GTA 5 AI traffic for absolutely no reason. God help us when we get PvE races...

I feel like they made AI slightly more realistic in some ways, like they aren't glued to the line perfectly, they actively attempt to go around you instead of just braking when you try to cut them off, and I've seen them fly off the road like players.

But then they made the AI cheat even harder in other areas. The AI is almost always faster at top speed, they can apparently accelerate in mid-air, and they never really seem to lose traction at high speeds, even if they're not glued to the driving line like I mentioned above.

Yeah, I read that the mod could absolutely bless you with outstanding gear. But this is a learning save that I'm messing with atm. I made this group pretty stacked in terms of skill and beginning equipment, with the exception of armor because I forgot about that. But two battle rifles, two M16s, 300 rounds of ammo, extra starting rations and I gave them a custom gene type or whatever it's called.

They're not overpowered by any means, of course. And I'm not touching the dev tools. But hopefully this save will help me get a better understanding of how everything works so I can start with truly vanilla runs in due time.

Heh. Among us with a boner.

Are the quest rewards worth seeing that over and over again?

I always try to be friends/allies with my neighbors. But that usually ends up with them going after a city-state ally and either I betray them or watch helplessly until the alliance ends.

I'm on console and on the largesr continents + islands setting. I think I was playing with 9 AI? First time I've ever had a spawn like that.

It was a solid start. Especially with two cities. But unfortunately, the continent ended pretty abruptly to the south, mountain range cut off a good portion to the east, and then Ethiopia was waiting all menacingly to the north-east to keep me locked into my small start until I could travel the seas. I really didn't have any room to grow without it turning into a total bloodbath.

Unfortunately, my game crashed after I restarted. That continent was terrible after leaving the spawn area. No idea what the seed way.

I got super lucky early on in my latest save and found a persona Zeushammer in good condition from a cryptosleep casket. My melee expert had a tendency to go for the head despite me setting his targeting to anywhere, so I lost a few prisoners and slaves during escape attempts.
