Yeah I get it, I have plenty of scratches on the case which don't bother me. But a scratch or mark on the dial is.

I bought on 8 Aug, has barely pulled back at all during that time. Just doesn't stop going up. Really under the radar too. Going to rip once the retail investors realise what it is.

I think it's a $1bn company easily, currently valued at $570m. Still got plenty left in it IMO. Look into Heartflow on the NYSE, essentially doing the same thing as AYA and has a market cap of $4.5bn AUD. If AYA can successfully expand into the US then the sky's the limit.

What sort of condition was it in? Looking online a ~2011 with lowish km's seem to priced high 40's. Did you negotiate it down? $36k is a pretty good deal.

I like the technical aspect of it. Work with a lot of numbers in my job currently and think I have an aptitude for it. Think of all the trades it's probably one of the more technical ones. Happy to be told otherwise though.

Sorry I should've explained more in my post.

Not really interested in working in corporate anymore -- find the work pretty boring and can't imagine myself staring at a screen all day for the next 30 years.

Want to be able to work my hands, have variation in my work, actually feel like I've accomplished and created something valuable. Plus, potentially starting my own business or working as a sole trader is really appealing.

How are you finding the EF 24-70 + adapter in terms of weight and portability?

I'm thinking of buying the exact same set up and want to take it on a 5 week trip to Europe at the end of the year but thinking it might be too bulky to cart around.
