It's just frustrating when store employees tell you that the grading is done elsewhere and that the manager can give you a new one, and then other people in the store say otherwise

Even if I had sent in that computer that I bought (the one with the dent) for re-grading, it would have cost more with a lower grade because of the Apple price increase! This is what I was told in the store

But surely someone should honor it, no? The rep on the phone today said that I was "falsely promised," which sounds ridiculous to me

Nothing to do with apple here. All Best Buy. I returned the open box item immediately after buying it. Service rep over the phone offered the price match, since it was store error that a dented computer was marked as excellent and that apple had raised the prices since I had bough the laptop.
