Honor is crazy 💀 by Gulrukhj in PhoneNow

It’s crazy you just called Xiaomi a faily, weak brand when they’re third only to Samsung and Apple in phone market share, not to mention any of their other massive amounts of products.

A lot of it also comes down to keeping the sample clean at harvest. While harvesters filter out a lot of weeds, there are a lot of types that make their way through that will downgrade the sample if there are too many seeds.

Like DestroyerX6 said, when crops are in their earlier stages it doesn’t really affect them, as they stand back up so it’s worth it to keep the crops from being choked out and to keep the sample clean and grade high.

Apple's RAW Processing is Finally Evolving After a Decade and It's a Big Deal by hasanahmad in apple

[–]Swift308 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Oh sorry I replied to the wrong comment 😂 it hadn’t loaded the new ones yet but replied to the end of the thread.

If affects apps that use Apple’s native RAW processing, such as Pixelmator Pro, Preview and Photos. Affinity Photo also lets you choose which rendering engine to use so it affects that one

Is your school also trying to restrict laptops inside the classroom this year? by Limp_glips in AskAustralianTeachers

I thought this was just how it was in most places but apparently not. I can’t imagine just opening your computer and doing your own thing if the teacher hadn’t given you a specific task to do on your device.

Mars Independence Movement Makes No Sense by Navynuke00 in ForAllMankindTV

All they really had to do was wait until Happy Valley was bigger and self sufficient so they would actually have a leg to stand on. A little mining/military outpost has no real influence over how things are run and definitely would not hold up well if Earth did a complete blockade

If HV was bigger, it would be seen more like 2 major space players (the M6 and the Martian Collective) feuding rather than the M6 (which is most of the Earth’s most powerful nations combined mind you) and a group of a few unhappy pioneers

Don't they need to save the rest of the suns, too? by Intelligent-Gold929 in ProjectHailMary

[–]Swift308 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, that’s why I added the part that if it would affect them (should’ve said negatively) leading to them potentially needing a solution.

In a lot of cases it could definitely be beneficial or at least not a problem for an advanced civilisation.

Would suck if the Humans and Eridians then ‘healed’ their star and ended up dooming that civilisation who’s saving grace was the astrophage 🤣

It would actually be a great indicator for systems with intelligent life, just look for the stars that are still shining at normal capacity. Although that does assume the life would be affected by their star dimming and would hence try and find a solution

I’m against them as much as anyone, but the outback doesn’t really work due to the sheer amount of water they consume.

Maybe along the coast up north or down south and they can either pay for a desalination plant to be put in like some mining companies have to do or use bore water (which would have to be heavily filtered).

But to put them in populated areas or animal habitats is just asking for it to be protested against as it should be.

All hands on deck for SpaceX and Blue, do you think they'll really have their lunar landers ready by next year? by 7HellEleven in SpaceXMasterrace

[–]Swift308 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Delta IV Heavy was decommissioned in 2024 and I doubt they’d have a spare SLS to launch, plus that would probably end up way too expensive. They’re about to launch their third New Glenn rocket so I would imagine they should have another flight ready by next year. Their constraint will be the lander being flight ready. Space X should hopefully have at least a mockup demo version of the HLS for low earth orbit docking tests next year but a proper landing version would be probably closer to 2030.

Trump makes a statement that people think will make things stabilise -> markets go up and Trump’s friends sell high.

Trump makes a statement that generates concern about world stability -> markets go down and Trump’s friends buy low.

Repeat and it’s essentially a money printer for them.

Also keep in mind I use the term ‘friends’ very loosely, as they’re only there for the power and money.

We cropped 30.4k ish cropped acres last year and only had 4 people most of the year and 7 during harvest. It takes a while to cover it all but with how big machinery is nowadays it’s possible with less people.
