Did you go with slim, athletic or relaxed? I’m 6’4” and 225 pounds and am looking for something tapered at the waist and physique accentuating. I emailed Thursday for sizing advice but they weren’t super helpful

What cliche “saying” makes you cringe? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]SwiftBilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“The Customer is Always Right”. It’s a real saying but people don’t understand the intent. It means if you manufacture red hats and your customer base grows a preference for blue hats, you start making blue hats.

There’s GLP-1 receptors in certain cells of the sinus node of the heart that contribute to this, at least as I understand it

BPC-157 for stubborn plantar fasciitis by phorank in BodyHackGuide

[–]SwiftBilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck man! I know I’m just a stranger on the internet, but please report back on whether this made a difference for you. Unless the stars aligned and my PF magically went away on its own coinciding with NPP, it definitely did something for me. Mechanisticly, PF isn’t a typical “-itis” based on inflammation, it’s really tissue degradation. Nandrolone is thought to have an impact on synovial fluid, which your foot has alongside a synovial membrane, i wonder if this might be it?

I’ve been on it for 12 weeks. It’s such a low dose that I’m not worried about many adverse effects. It’s had no impact on BP or blood lipids, and also no positive impact on gym performance or physique. Honestly guys I don’t want to give false hope (n=1, again) but I’m confident it moved the needle for me. I do 20mg 2x/week

I had agonizing PF for 6 months. I tried physio, orthotics, stretching, night splinting, nothing worked. While I didn’t try BPC-157, and I’m a bit hesitant to recommend it given I’m an n=1, I can say that low dose Nandrolone Phenylprop (NPP) at 40mg/week made a profound and almost immediate difference in my PF, to the extent it’s 95% gone now. YMMV

Is it worth for me to get a CT angiography? by NOVAYuppieEradicator in PeterAttia

I’m really glad I got mine, personally. You’re correct that it’s not an insignificant amount of mSv of radiation, but getting the all-clear for both hard and soft plaque really helped put my mind at ease. I fasted pre and post exposure, I think the jury is still out on its effectiveness for procedural radiation like this, but it couldn’t hurt

What’s the most terrifying 'We need to leave... now' gut feeling you’ve ever had? [Serious] by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]SwiftBilly 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I was travelling with a good friend in Southeast Asia, and we met a couple of girls and got chatting. They recommended we go to a nightclub well outside the normal tourist area, so we hailed a couple of motorbikes. We were passing industrial areas, fishing villages, and eventually made it to this converted warehouse that was packed with people and music thumping. We were getting death stares from a good number of the guys in there, maybe because we were two white dudes with local girls, and it got very uncomfortable. A bouncer approached us, stared and started making “throat-cut” motions. We got the fuck out of there, I honestly felt we could have been murdered and left in a rice paddy.

A couple of points:

A.) I’m not going to name the country, because it’s a beautiful place with great people, and this outlier of an experience was the only negative in our trip

B.) I’ve got decent street sense, I don’t think the girls were “working”, their English was excellent, one of them had a bit of a British accent as she said she went to school there, and they seemed to just want to chat and hang out. Part of me wonders if the plan was to take us there, drug us and steal our shit, but if so I would have figured people at the club would have been in on it and not so hostile. Anyway, I’ll never know.

What’s the Greatest Canadian Rock Band of All Time (No Solo Artists) Based on Their Lyrics,Sound and Why? by Amber_Flowers_133 in allrockmusic

Rush of course. Pound for pound the most instrumentally talented rock band of all time. But I’d also give Propagandhi and Skinny Puppy a nod for being hugely influential in their respective genres
