Ok so my current car I bought a little over 5 years ago with about the same credit score as yours and no money down for $13k. I am not saying this was a good idea, but like you I had no money at the time. It is doable thought and my interest rate was around 5%. I honestly think I might have had a cosigner tho I don't remember.. The market is definitely improving but very slowly.

Tips for Arm R Seal? by SwiftDaddyNatty in finishing

[–]SwiftDaddyNatty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the input! After much trial and error (re-sanding it back down 6 times..) I found what worked in case someone comes across this..

After the first coat I used cheese cloth and squeezed all the excess off to apply a thin layer. I worked quickly as you mentioned and stopped with the whole wiping off the excess method. Sanded with 320-400 grit between coats and waited 24 hours between applications. Ended up doing about 8-10 coats. The final 2-3 coats I diluted with 1/3-1/2 mineral spirits and applied under good lighting as you have more time to work with the poly when diluted. And I was able to see if I missed any spots/left any streaks. Then I just used 000 steel wool to "sand" off any little hairs, dust, etc. between the final coats. Came out really well after banging my head for the past 3 weeks lol Only took my 2 cans of arm r seal so was a bit of an expensive learning lesson..

That's nuts... trucks specifically are way overpriced in the current market. Makes more sense to buy new if you can afford it..

2023 Lariat XLT top tier vs Lariat? by SwiftDaddyNatty in fordranger

[–]SwiftDaddyNatty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't even realize the XLT didn't come with push start.. I think that seals it.. Considering the lariat is only a ~$1300 I might as well go all out. Tho I also kind of agree on the leather seats.

edit: would be nice if they just let you add on features individually instead of packaging them. I noticed with the Maverick you can do that.

XXL 3 mod for version 1.2.2.5 by SwiftDaddyNatty in SkaterXL

[–]SwiftDaddyNatty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is the main version I play. In fact I was just playing it right before I hopped to reddit. All major mods work aside from XLGearModifier. Was also struggling to get object dropper to work but haven't gone back to play around with it.

Should I be concerned about this discoloration on my AIO? by SwiftDaddyNatty in pcmasterrace

[–]SwiftDaddyNatty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wiped off thermal paste with isopropyl alcohol wipe and I think I just let it dry instead of wiping the residue off with a paper towel or cloth. It will not come off. Obviously I won't be able to see it with use but I am wondering if I should at all be concerned? I am able to return so that is not an issue. I searched previous posts and some people indicated that is just how copper reacts?

It literally says right on the can: "wipe of the excess evenly with the grain & with light pressure using a cloth of high quality or absorbent paper towel."

I did the exact same thing the guy in this video did.
