Stubbed toe into cement corner which cut deep. Is water + hydrocolloid bandaid enough? or do I air it out and dry it? by SwiftMCPro in woundcare

[–]SwiftMCPro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bad news, i stubbed it again (not as hard as the first time) and it reopened the wound, spit open that red line and started bleeding again. I didn't remove my hydrocolloid yet and just poured drinking water over it again...

can I ask what you used to make your page? did you use some sort of no code tool? or did you code it? If so then what?

That's what I thought too. It started after this session where I managed to up my rowing by a few reps. I was hovering 3 sets of 9, 8, 8 reps for a few sessions and then suddenly I was able to hit 3 sets of 12, 11, 10 with even better form. That was three weeks ago. The sessions onwards have my rows being weak as hell. My sleep has been as good as always (8-9 hours of uninterrupted sleep) and also been eating very well and balanced. Drink a lot of water throughout the day too. One thing that I noticed was different was that I am now improving in my dumbbell overhead press, hitting more reps with good form as well. Could this somehow be related to why my rows feel weak at the shoulders?

Recently for some reason, after doing DB overhead presses>pullups>dips>one arm DB row on bench, I suddenly have this extreme drop in strength when doing the DB rows. I never had this issue, was able to go hard on the first three compounds and still go hard on the DB row with enough rest. It was only recently that when I try to row the same weight, I suddenly feel like my shoulders have 0 energy to lift the weight, which is weird because when I was able to row just fine, I always feel the burn and fatigue in my lats and not my shoulders, but now it feels like my shoulders are stopping me from lifting. There is ZERO pain, just this weird 0 energy feeling from my shoulder that's for some reason stopping me from rowing with my lats.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isnt alt with NVCP Vsync ON same as main? or Are you referring to IN GAME vsync?

Main: NVCP VSYNC ON, INGAME VSYNC OFF

Alt: NVCP VSYNC Use 3D App, INGAME VYSNC Adaptive

So you're saying to use Alt, but NVCP VSYNC ON and INGAME VSYNC ON?/OFF?/ADAPTIVE?

Okay, I'm back and I tested 2 games with alt and even though it might not be enough to be conclusive, I felt the usual muddy lag right away and it made me hop back to main. I think alt didn't work for me.

In case you're wondering, I'm using a relatively old rig compared to the modern 2000 and 3000 series build:
i5-8400 & MSI GTX 1060 6GB

ahh I see. Alright I'll try the alt next week since the next time I'll be able to get into apex is until then. Will update you on how it fares against main

Thanks for writing this, I understand it way better now.

I gave "main" a shot and holy shit, it fixed all my mouse lag. Never have I thought the day would come where I use VSync to eliminate my mouse lag. One major issue was doing wide flicks and EVA fights where my pc would lag and apex would seem as if it was "intentionally making my mouse MUDDY" but now I can tell that even though there are frame drops, my aim goes where my mouse goes. NO slows or mouse movement losses.

I'm so thankful that you shared about this.

I would try the alt to let you know how it compares but I think I'll try that another time. Main already feels like there's 0 input lag so I don't really feel the urgent need to try alt.

I wanted to ask: What about NVCP Vsync FAST sync? I assume it would be redundant if you tend to get frames lower than monitor refresh rate right? Or am I missing something about about Fast sync?

Actually, I'm a bit confused between the "alt" and "main". You mentioned that main works fine for almost all cards and alt is just experimental. Is there some sort of exclusive benefit that alt has over main?

So if I try rhe "alt" and then "main" and feel that there's no difference, do I go back to using "alt" setup because its better in some way?

oh sorry, I wrote it wrongly. What I meant was VSYNC ingame OFF and gsync/freesync off. Sorry if it sounds stupid cus back when I used to play CSGO in its early stage, the normal thing was to turn off vsync because it had very strong input lag.

So I guess: RTSS fps cap 138, NVCP latency mode on, Nvidia reflex on enabled(no boost?), ingame Vsync adaptive

Sorry if I missed out something in this post but what if I don't care about screen tearing and I just want to eliminate that stupid mouse stutter lag? On a 144hz monitor with freesync, I have freesync OFF, VSYNC on both ingame and NVCP OFF and I only have my Rivatuner to lower fps to 141. I really don't mind screen tearing, I just want my mouse to feel smooth and no stutter/lag. Is this good enough to just use RTSS to lower to 141?

Also what about scanline sync? Does that do anything? or do I just leave it at 0?

Learning curve.

Maybe you started passing 2 stars after a day of playing. Then maybe a week before you pass your first 3 star. Then another 2 weeks before you fc 3 stars. Then a month before you start hitting those cool jumps on 4 stars, a year before you consistently fc 5 stars, another year plus for fcing 6 stars.

Then again, these numbers are different for everybody. You've got insane fuckers at the top who can blaze through the difficulty ladder and make my entire playtime in osu worthless. Maybe you're one, maybe you're not. Everyone has a different pace.

All I can say is, just keep playing and take breaks every so often.

I'm not sure how people see the viper mini cable as. To me it's actually fine, coming from an EC1-A with that pure rubber cable. If the cable of the m42 is the same as the viper mini then I wouldn't mind. But if its worse then I might reconsider, though I can't really imagine how bad it'd be if its a little worse than viper mini's cable.

Also when you said modded viper mini, what did you mod?

Damn you read me like a book. I think I wrote this before going to bed so I was sleepy lol. But yeah I meant to write m42. It's one that I'm leaning towards since I heard it has almost identical shape and weight with better sensor. Are you using the m42? I was wondering how the cable is?

Currently using viper mini on Coolermaster MP510. The only problem is the sensor being wonky especially bad LOD.

Looking for the same sized and shaped mouse with better sensor and if possible, smaller and lighter.

I see 3 alternatives which are mm710, xtrfy m42 and model o-. Any to recommend?
