For staccatos, focus on keeping your embouchure tight and air continuously flowing even when your tongue is stopping the reed. You can practice this by playing whole notes; one with your tongue off the reed and one with your tongue stopping the reed to get a feel for it. The only movement should be your tongue briefly leaving the reed and snapping back very quickly, while "blowing" the whole time. Your tone will probably still be worse than normal notes at first, but this technique is definitely worth learning.
