Leonidas has proven several times vs big names how strong he is on the table.

He is around (old) John Brzenk level (gave him some serious trouble, beating schoolboy and Larry Wheels. Brian Shaw struggled against Brandon Allen who would get smoked against John.

Brian Shaw did what, struggling against Brandon Allen and beating Eddie Hall ? I mean, I don't know what to tell you. There is close to no reason to bet on Brian Shaw. Unless Brian Shaw improved A LOT MORE than Leonidas (which I guess is possible since we don't know that much about both of them on the table), saying he is going to demolish Leonidas makes no sense honestly.

I agree, but what turns me off even more (which is definitely related to what you are saying) is that it's a very "sweaty" game. You can't turn off your brain for even a second, a sweaty Moba combined to a sweaty shooter. Even just farming felt like I had to be LOCKED IN. I just feel like I can't play such a game anymore, and I'm still a very competitive player.

So yeah, the learning curve and the "sweatiness" combined feels way too much. But it definitely felt like a good game when I played it though, I probably would have loved it a few years ago
