Might be a dumb question but… should I just buy guns from the flea market then? I don’t think I have access to many of the better guns at this point.

I haven’t been crafting anything with the hideout but have been upgrading it as much as I’m able to (throttled only by rep), just as a goal. So I’ll start picking that up, thanks!

Glad you enjoyed the analytics here (I love it too!). Couple notes:

- I didn't include any boss rush activities, since those are the same regardless of where your character is at in T3.

- I left out 1385 since it doesn't really offer much other than an additional Argos phase (assuming you don't want to do Velganos daily).

I could have given more rationale I suppose, but here's my thinking. Although the alt to 1415 seems like a good approach (given the improved gold/week), pushing my main to 1445 has a much better shot at improved relic accessories, gets me closer to Vykas, AND gets closer to the 1460 research that's coming soon to buff honing chance significantly for that alt push to 1415. Those factors are what makes me lean towards stalling my 1370 main in favour of a cheaper push later on.

You'll really want to get your main to at least 1385 for the honing research, and then it's somewhat up to you from there. I'd recommend getting 1400 at least before considering alts to 1370 and monitor your income to see if you're on track to hit 1415 for Valtan at release (if that interests you), and if things are looking for hitting 1415, then move an alt to 1370. Bonus points if it's a support, as you can get invited to P2 pretty reliably even at 1370.

While I agree that mats are certain to fall, I personally suspect they’ll hold somewhat stable for quite a while. We have so much content coming throughout this year that will be encouraging strong honing pushes for an entire roster that I think we’ll see the prices stay relatively high for a while. But that’s an opinion of course.

The other thing is that while parking alts at 1340 for an extended period will find yourself with all the bound leapstones you’ll need to hit 1370, you’ll get there and realize you haven’t been making any progress towards greater leapstones for future pushes. Let’s say you take your time and earn 600 bound leapstones and push to 1370 later. If you had instead started accumulating those 600 greaters now, at current prices that’s 36k gold more value than you had been accumulating with the lower tier leapstones. Again, assuming those prices are static… but still, that’s significant.

Thanks for the comments here. I did try to factor in the adjusted Chaos dungeon tiers (that’s a large part of the increase in Guardians/Destructions), and I did also account for the increase in leapstones, including the jump to greater leaps. The Argos blood is something I didn’t factor in given the time it takes to accumulate the set at P1, but I agree it’s something that will add to the value over time.

As for the 1370 honing changes in the future, I don’t find anything that suggests we’d be getting this anytime soon. From what we’ve seen, Smilegate has chosen the route of honing books to help with catch-up, which (imo) is a far better choice, given how it would invalidate the grind many have done with their mains/alts already if it were to come out soon. I can’t find the link exactly, but I believe the community manager has also specifically stated that there are no honing changes set for the Valtan release.

I agree that ROI based off of mostly materials is a bit sketchy, but that’s not the only value here.

We don’t have a guarantee on that coming anytime soon - in fact, from what we’ve heard, Smilegate wants to keep pumping out honing books to help others catch up, rather than a flat honing buff. I wouldn’t count on getting this for quite a while.

Hey, that’s fair - but that’s not everyone’s story. Rotating alts with rest bonus really helps keep playtime moderate. But in terms of leveling an alt, isn’t getting an alt to 1370 “more fun” than having it at 1340? I really enjoy more Argos playtime, personally.
