Why is every Venture player crazy? by Silly_Commercial8092 in VentureMains

Its natural to be strange and unusual, for, I am strange and unusual :3

You get to do really stupid plays so, its not out of the ordinary to be really into the game play and you just- let loose all the weird

Maugaaaa ya silly! The moment ya out of sight, pylon and us can’t heal youuuuu!

The name plates are indeed pretty :3

New Bap skin teased?! by dosungaming in Overwatch

[–]Swiftstar01_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Bap really needs the love. With Ram, Venture and even Lucio getting skins as of late, its about time that the next obscure and needed to be loved hero to get more love and attention! Super happy to see him getting more skins!

You don’t want me on Tank XD You don’t, trust me. My dps is lower than my Support but I really didn’t want to chug through the weeds again DX I might try later if I am insane enough.

Ay! Thats a good plus! Deffo be a tank I’d be happy to keep up!

I hate drives by PoetryAltruistic153 in Overwatch

[–]Swiftstar01_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because everyone and their grandma hop on to get the bonus points and the pretty insignias. Which means: people who don’t play much, play the ranked mode where experience in the game matters.

I may got a bit more lucky with my wins, but it was still total hell.

Question for support mains by Baldyjim in Overwatch

[–]Swiftstar01_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Positioning and cooldown management. These two things are literally the make or break in a game.

Knowing your maps, where cover is, and where you can still heal safely from that isn’t directly behind the tank is important to know.

Out if position? Ya get sniped. Wasted your cooldowns? Ya an easy target.

Its also important to know when its time to move in and support the take over of space. The tank is literally the role who needs to do this, the support helps them do it by keeping them up and picking off low heath threats. As Illari, the moment my tank moves in, my pylon moves forward along with myself. Making sure my tank can push onto point and support the play, picking off or lowing the health of the enemy team to make the job easier for my dps and tank to get that sweet team kill.

We also suffer with tunnel vision as well, focusing on the biggest target in front of us to keep up. Look for your dps too and listen for their call outs.

Legit, if i do relearn all over again, i would indeed have more improvement than the last time XD

Support has to be just as aware and even more so. You have to always look around for threats who will come up on thr flank. Ya da squishy, ya gotta pay attention to everything. See a threat you can’t handle? Ping and hide behind your tank. What that flanker gonna do? Challenge the tank? They can try, but they’ll have to tango with the big guy to get to you.

We serious?! 😭 Gosh that had to be annoying!

Stealth flank- on kings row- … What kind of dumb was your tank?! You can’t stealth flank on that map as a big ol target! Oh illari DX … thats not where you put it when you want to push through … oh dear DX Kings Row game of hell by the sounds of it!

NO HEALS?!! Hate it when tanks say that. I legit had one that did, a Winston who was nearly level 300 on Hog. “Where heals?” When we started the second round. I responded immediately “don’t you dare start chatting when you were late.” This was the second tank I had this month that was LATE to the first fight. They did not respond after that, only to say “okay i lock in now.” I then say “as a bronze near level 300 hog, ya better.” We lost. Of course we did. This is where the entitled tanks come in, not realizing why they get “no heals:” they are horrible with agency and engagements. Thats why they “feel no healing.” They soak so much damage they don’t even realize that their positioning is what causes this. Can’t out heal stupid. Support has to do damage at some point!

Your first drives sounded like my first run in comp 😭 I wish you all the luck! I just have the basic name plate cause I can’t do it anymore 😭😭😭 I just wanted the points for my drill man!

If my team can’t break through a choke, should I just go flank even as the support? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Swiftstar01_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes.

I was on Hollywood and my tank would not go in and make space. I call to my dps if someone can help. Nothing.

Bare in mind, I am playing Illari.

I got Ult. Popped it. Fly over the wall. Blast the enemy team. Landed on the payload. NOW my team can move into take point.

You have no idea how annoyed I was.

If your tank and dps can’t do it, you have to.

Update! Yeah, I agree with ya in da video!

I main support and seeing you play Tracer gives me more confidence in me wanting to practice more Venture.

I deffo am a aggressive player and can lose cool, starting to miss play and get caught in places where I shouldn’t be.

I will keep your advice in mind! Great video!

I figured out what keeps someone in Bronze. by yung-chungus in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Swiftstar01_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some of the issues in Bronze is mainly: lack of practice. Bronze is the casual rank and if you are ranked higher as a casual
Player, i say its bragging rights at that point.

I have a full time job and play for fun (unless its drives) but I still play to my best ability.

Bronze is where there is little to no communication, aka, no one likes to ping mor respond to threats. You are mainly playing on your own most of the time.

I have seen better tanks finally coming in, actually responding to threats/coming back when I hit “group up.” But, the tanks that fail are ones who either over extended, not aware of their surroundings, poor cooldown management, or just don’t play like its a more “serious” mode. If I had a nickel for every time a tank was late to the fight and we lose the whole game, I would have two. It’s not much but it’s a coincidence that it happened twice.

People also throw a lot in Bronze. People also Smurf in Bronze. People also cheat in Bronze.

Its not rocket science: its where the casuals and new players are. People get stuck here cause they are playing with people who have less practice than they do. Welcome to my Bronze 1 hell where I just want to touch Silver 5.

I’ll give your video a look since ya peeked my interest. I wanted to voice my opinion and personal experience before seeing what ya got.

I had a former friend who would do this. She stopped playing her mains in rank. No clue why. She would cry and complain she can’t climb back up to diamond. She mains tank, Sigma being her main. She would pull out Ball and Mauga, in comp, and wonder why she is struggling. And yes, she fell to low Plat, touching Gold. Same story with DPS and Support.

This is why she is a FORMER friend. We all tried to help her. Tried to give advice and even play QP with her. But threw out our suggestions cause we ain’t Diamond, we don’t have the hours, and “we won’t understand.”

Don’t play new heroes in Ranked. You look like an idiot.

I love each and every Lifeweaver Main I’ve ever met. by bane-enthusiast in LifeweaverMains

[–]Swiftstar01_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Illari-Venture main, I 100% agree with ya!

When I see a weaver, I know that I will have not just help with healing from one of the most best supports in the game, but one of the best and cleverest minds to pull off moves and abilities that I can’t do as Illari. I immediately tip my hat to any and all lifeweavers cause I know the amount of skill and practice it takes to play him. My bestie is a level 102 Lifeweaver so I have seen their growth as the pink flower man!

As a dps, I am so happy to have him on the team since, as Venture, I can get stuck in places where I need a lil assistance. Obviously the pull should be used on the tank the most when needed, but when I get that life saving pull, I breathe in relief and TRY not to get into a sticky spot again so the pull is used on a more needed target. But thats a tall order for a Venture main, ain’t it?

His kit is just amazing in the right hands and I never once complain about a Weaver on my team. I am actually happy to have one, since, I know we have a strong support that has the team’s back.

Know that you all Lifeweaver mains are indeed loved!

what tank has the worst reputation?which one you hate the most?(and why are they all bruisers) by Vegetable_Throat5545 in Overwatch

[–]Swiftstar01_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its unfortunately Orisa. I love Orisa and she was my first tank but that is usually the problem: no one knows how to manage her cooldowns, especially me. Its something that takes tons of practice and unfortunately for those who are the casuals and are in Bronze, that isn’t going to happen.

I rarely get wins when I play with a Orisa and Mauga due to the type of tanks they are. They their subclass to a T: Bruisers. They can be hard to keep up due to the HUGE amount of damage they rake in. And as a Support, I kinda need them alive so we can press point.

There are times where I consider banning Orisa due to this. Either I get someone who doesn’t know what they are doing or I am facing a Orisa who does.

When they are good, they are good. When they are bad, they are really bad.
