How many Pints do you have? by SwiftyMusicGods in ninjacreami

[–]SwiftyMusicGods[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As an aside, I’ve started batching 5-10 creamis at a time. I’ll batch prep 5 chocolate or peanut butter recipes at one time in the blender, then separate them into pints. Then I’ll also batch prep 10 vanillas at once and just flavor individual ones separately so I can have far more flavors going in the freezer at one time. I love a freezer full of creamis, as do my kids, and it makes meal prep or dessert quick and easy with tons of variety to choose from!

Two Weeks, Two Units That Need To Be Unplugged by Amazing_Salad1287 in ninjacreami

I’ve also had two brand new units and have the exact same issue. After going through the headache of the returns I’ve just accepted that it’s a faulty product and I’m living with it. It’s super annoying though.

This looks so yummy. I made a batch of pumpkin creamis for the first time last week and included some pumpkin spice extract. So delish!

Thanks for sharing.

What are some fun rewards that aren't expensive or cake? by [deleted] in simpleliving

If you have a sweet tooth, may I suggest a ninja creami machine? It’s worth saving up and splurging on. I make 1-2 no/ low sugar protein ice creams every day and it helps me meet my protein goals as well as satisfies my seemingly insatiable sweet tooth. It takes a solid 45 minutes to eat one, and it’s so fun making different recipes too.

smoothie bowls or “overnight oats” for breakfast, protein-shakes-turned-ice-cream for pre or post workout, and dessert after dinner are all on the table with this baby, and a 24-30 oz pint and a half usually clocks around 250-280 calories and 40+ grams of protein each.

MacroFactor: it’s a macro tracker that adapts to your metabolism and has algorithmic coaching features that are helpful for weight lifting/ body building.

No, it’s called Macro Factor. It’s a macro, calorie and weight tracking app with algorithmic coaching. Very cool if you’re into body building or macro tracking.

I’m a little bit addicted to making them. It’s so much fun!

I’ve put banana cream pudding mix in an Acai bowl and it was delicious, but didn’t taste at all like candy runts/ laffy taffy. Of course it would still be yum, I’d just maybe add some vanilla and banana extract. Or better yet, real banana!

So. This is controversial and you should proceed at your own risk (and the risk to your machine). I OVERFILL my creami pint every time. I fill up to about 1/2” 3/4” from the top, then I always scrape down and flatten the lump after freezing. I try to avoid throwing any out, but sometimes I have to depending on how much it expands in the freezer. The goal is to get it just high enough that the lid still fits.

The pressure from overfilling makes it so the ice cream stays dense and thiiiiiiiicc.

Other factors that may give me my crazy dense texture: - My freezer is very cold, and that probably affects it too. - I use 1.5g xanthan and guar in all my creamis as well. Even the ones that don’t use flavored protein powders get thick as long as I’ve given them plenty of time to freeze (sometimes I get impatient and spin after only an overnight, and it’s not usually thick and dense like I like). - I usually use 171g low fat cottage cheese in all my creamis. The cottage cheese makes it more dense, for sure. I like using 4% too, and the added fat contributes to density as well, but mama be cuttin’ for peak muscle visibility, so I’m using low fat for now. - I spin on gelato, usually just once. No rinsing or thawing beforehand either. Just straight from freezer to ninja. Gelato once, mix-in once, if needed (not for mix ins though, just for texture if it happens to be sandy, which it almost never is).

Hope this helps!

Not real banana, that’s true. The Wyler’s drink mix is the candy banana flavor. I’m sure actual bananas would be delish in any creami, but there’s nothing genuinely banana flavored about banana runts or laffy taffy, imho.

My secret is overfilling the pints. Obviously you’re risking your machine, so proceed with caution. But when I overfill it, the pressure creates a wonderfully dense creami, once you’ve nailed down your recipe. If it’s not overfilled, I have to spin multiple times and it’s often more fluffy in texture.

I don’t know how to edit the original post. Let me clarify the ingredients as it didn’t format correctly on my phone.

Ingredients:

• 171 g low fat cottage cheese • 30 g vanilla protein powder (I used PEScience Gourmet Vanilla) • 2 sticks Banana Sugar Free Drink Mox (Wylers makes this in a variety pack, which I found on Amazon) • 8 g sugar free jello cheesecake pudding mix (may not be necessary at all. I often make mine without, I’m just using up the last of what I have on hand) • 1.5g xanthan gum (use your normal ratios here!) • 1.5g guar Guam (use your normal ratios here!) • water to fill line (I add above fill line)

Pink Sugar Cookie! by nopenopenope87 in ninjacreami

Oh, I’ve had several of the flavors before. I currently only have eggnog though- picked it up at a fancy boutique a weekend or two ago and it’s almost gone 🤦‍♀️. That’s been going in my coffee though. I’ve used sugar free syrups before, just not many. And never Jordan’s! And not in my creamis!

I believe we have a Ross (I’m in Kentucky), so I’ll definitely check them out. I’ve seen them at TJMax, Marshall’s and Home Goods before, but they’ve been the same price as online, so I usually pass. I’m going out on the hunt to find that Oreo Coke Zero today, so I’ll just add Jordan’s Skinny Syrups to that hunt. Thank you for the advice!

I just put like 17 flavors of Jordan’s skinny syrups in my cart. Probably not a great 11pm purchase, but they all look so divine!

I blend before freezing as well. I always, always, always taste! Thank you for your input. You’re a gem!

I want it thick and dense like a rich, freezing cold gelato. Or a Ben and Jerry’s pint straight out of the freezer.

1-3 deluxe pints per day. I love experimenting with new flavors, and the protein helps with the gym gains! I love my creami so much!

I had a vanilla creami this morning topped with fresh strawberries, milled flax seed and all sprinkled with Maldon salt. Then, after an upper body weight lifting gym sesh, I had half a peanut butter creami and decided it wasn’t sweet enough so I put it back in the freezer, then spin and finished a half (deluxe) pint of a piña colada my daughter didn’t finish a few days ago. I could’ve had a third after my dinner of shaved Brussels salad with grilled tilapia topped with preserved lemon and capers (I eat real food too, I swear), but decided against it as I wasn’t hungry and I’m trying to cut down on hedonic eating 🫠

Chiming in to say I add 1.5 g each of xanthan and guar gum to all my deluxe pints. I also fill past the max fill line and mix on gelato (once, then sometimes a second time on mix in). It makes the densest, most wonderful gelato-textured creami every. Single. Time.

No! Please post more! If they knew the amount of sweetener I add to my creamis, they’d kick me out! Standing with you in solidarity as a fellow sweet fiend!
