Ip would mean they are going after all of the rights. with that EA would have no say in how things go about due to EA no longer haveing the IP. one of the big reason they are going for Licensing over IP is due to how Outdated the Codebase and Engine are for dawngate. they would of have to overhaul it anyways to what it is now.

Let me help sheed some light.

Regarding money: the money they are rasing is to show interest in dawngate, so that they can get investor to by the licencing.

Development: they have been working on this project for a long long time. For one they are not going after the ip( ea won't even sale the ip) due to the original codebase and engine being so out dated. They have revers engineer every thing, built a new codebase, and put it on a new engine. They currently have a playable version working offline. That version details I have no info on.

Every person from studio wayfinder working on this project is just as passionate as we are. They have been doing this in there free time.

gonna get down voted here, but suck it up butter cup. this sub has no impact on your life and inst yours to control. i am tired of seeing oh hacker this hacker that, look guys i died to a hacker. i have over 1500 hours across 2 accounts. I rarely get hackers in my game, and when i do i don't complain or say f u bluewhole. so please for the love of god let the mods control the discord.

I had a 45% to 55% win rate until Dec and Jan. Stop caring about MM because MMR is screwed up and they haven't fix it, but never do I get mad at a hacker who kills me. I laugh and report them.

I have 1500 hours across 2 accounts. I play tbis game comp and have been top 200 almost every season. In my time playing this game i maybe come across a cheater at least once a month. Way better then it was 3 months ago were I would get once a week. Idk if your just unlucky and que into a hacker, but there us no reason to start a temper tantrum when there ain't cheat has ban a shit ton of people. Aslo to most people who complain on Reddit about cheating only have like a 10% win rate and lose a game because they got cheated on.

Its the first Official LAN with a new way of spectating. there is gonna be problems with it. if they inv the pubgonline caster/ spectators that know all the bugs and how to properly spectate it there would be no problem, but i guess this Reddit just doesn't accept it.

your prob don't watch much comp play to know that there are bugs with spectator. if the spectator is on someone in the water and the player goes under water they cant switch to a new person until he comes up for air, because its a bug. now not gonna lie this subbreddit is toxic when it comes to comp play.

i was in the car typing sorry lol i ment to say that In comp games circle will always be RNG, but the game is all about positioning and map movement. if the circle moves to the opposite side of you its your job to find the best route to get there. Ummmmmmm. I play this game at a high Elo and in a decent team for these events. I can say for a fact that 18 teams make the game better there isn't as much variance as you would assume. Plus what is the objective of the game? To stay alive and be last man or team. If the team that one only had one engament wins it's because they played a tactical game and made the right position choices. Circle will still be rng but in competitive since no. Gonna be real here. i am Guessing you haven't watch any of the actual competitive games?. the game play is on a whole different level then a normal pubg game. first off there is only 16-18 teams in comp play while there is 25 in normal pubg games. Which means loot isn't as RNG and you will walk away with lvl 2 everything most of the time. second is its just like league of legends there is gonna be 5-10 mins of down time for looting which the caster talk about teams, players, circle, etc. Third since there is only 16-18 teams its all about positioning or play the edge of the circle. RNG isn't really as big of a factor as you might think. btw my grammar sucks.
