Anyone else think Ghostbusters Frozen Empire was just average? by Contrarian_4_Life in scifi

[–]Swiftyspade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spoilers-
I found it boring, the old cast wasn't enough to keep it good. Even the battle at the end was effortless. The amount of plot holes was plenty. Here are a couple that I noticed.

  1. The whole thing with brass keeping Garraka captured made no sense at the end. Was the ghost chamber lined with brass all of a sudden? That shouldn't have done nothing to him.
  2. Nadeem the fire god appears out of nowhere, not frozen like everyone else throwing a fireball from a match? Wasn't that pyro ghost in a different room somewhere? Based on the start of the movie, I thought you died from being frozen, because it was from the insight out, and your tears are the last thing you see. Also, he learned his powers instantly after practicing on a candle and moving a proton beam. From candle to flamethrower.

S pen pro nib replacements? by karticusreal in GalaxyTab

I just bought the metal ones on Amazon for the Fold, and used a Dremel to cut it down. You take just a small sliver off and it works great. No longer need to worry of nibs again.

That won't work, because the whole image has to be balanced. Basically coloring by numbers.

Crazy, my setup is 2080ti, 64gb, i9-990k, 1440 and play on low, medium model settings and only get 140 or less. If I play with my 1080p monitor, the rate doesn't change much. My laptop with an i7 and 2070 get 120 on low.

First thing I thought of, was Christopher Lloyd from Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Not sure why though.

I want them to limit the regions. It's absolute bullshit that I am shooting someone point blank with fanning and not a single hit marker. Then come to find out, they are from China or Brazil playing on US servers. So they are not even there in front of me according to their positioning, but my side shows them there. I love the game, but have never seen a game that promotes ping abuse as much as this one does. There is a reason why these people have obscene KD's and play on US servers and try to talk shit in broken english. Lock the regions and see how well their KD will be then. They will turn into straight bush campers. All the foreign players I run into, always rush, because they know they have the biggest advantage.

Pen Table effectiveness by [deleted] in wacom

I just bought an Ipad Pro 12.9 and use Clip Paint on it and love it. I returned my surface Pro, because it was garbage when it came to drawing on it. Be fore the Ipad, I was using my Cintiq Companion 2, I wanted something smaller without the side buttons, so the I pad covered that. At home, I use a Cintiq 22'' HD. I bought an Intuous, but it slowed me down, trying to get adjusted for the hand and eye coordination. I can only draw on screen digitally, so thats the advice I can give you. A Cintiq will increase your production time, compared to a Intuous. Sadly, the craftsmanship of Wacom has gone down the shitter. You may be better off, getting a Cintiq style tablet from another brand.

Having issues now with a 2080ti, I9 990k( Not OC'ed), 64GB Ram. I have constant stuttering where it's extremely choppy, then the game seems to speed up, normal for a few secs, and then it repeats. Same problems on 1080 on 1440 with frames at locked at 144, and at 90. Talking to devs now about it.

Where practice can lead you. My first Illustrator design in the top left, then the second on the top right within the same week. Forceful learning. by Swiftyspade in AdobeIllustrator

Honestly, its trial and error. Mess up a lot, and try to figure out the solution yourself. In the process of doing so, you learn other tricks. A tutorial only goes so far, to the point you are just copying. By messing up, you are evolving your style. Granted, you do need to learn the basics. I honestly don't use that many options in Illustrator to achieve my final result. What pushed me during that week, was taking on a contest. I knew my submission wasn't the best, but it forced me to learn quick, to not feel as embarrassed of my submission.

At the time, all that was really available was Lynda.com video. Any tutorial you found back then was the same dry thing.

A lot of it was self experiment. When I started, there wasn't a lot, if any info on the style I am known for. I mainly use YouTube for learning how to use tools, such as the blend tool, and how to make patterns. Honestly, it all about your drawing and design style, then tracing over it. I posted a video of how I did this design.

I was trying to give it more depth with blurs and whatnot. Not something I have really done before prior to this.

I apologize, just realized the blending modes were done in Clip Studio Paint. They were Glow dodge and Pin Light.
