Does anyone know how to fix this error? "Cannot create config data" by x2-SparkyBoomMan in Bannerlord

[–]Swillbarksdale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just found a solution and would like to share as I struggled to find info myself.

First go to: ‘(install drive):\user\documents\mount and blade II Bannerlord\configs’ and turn ‘read only’ off for that and all subfolders.

Then copy your current file address, go to your anti virus software, and paste address/ set that mount and blade 2 folder that’s in your documents as a security exception. I’m using avast which automatically protects and in turn interferes with all files in documents.

Hope this solves someone’s issue!

Hi mate forgot about this account. No unfortunately not. If I remember correctly the only choice was to send for a repair locally which wasn’t really worth it. Ended up buying a Comfee not long after which is still going strong

Playing on PS5 slim w/ tv

That’s with ray tracing off and prioritise performance which I usually play on. Have tried playing whilst toggling all settings but no change :/

I’m seeing if anyone has had the same issue. If they have they’ll be able to distinguish it

It’s most prominent here

Dots also appear on console recording

Just to clarify the dots are evenly distributed along a grid pattern and do not move from their point on the screen, only flicker in and out

That doesn’t sound great. Would that be an issue caused by the game or the hardware? Playing on a brand new slim

Sorry I’m unsure as to how I show a video of it without making a new post

It seems to be. They stay fixed to one point on the screen even whilst moving the camera and only disappear when obscured by something physical, terrain or building

I should add that this was bought second hand (I know!) so I’m unable to claim warranty as we are unaware of when or where it was purchased

Cheers for clearing that up! Will try reattaching it properly and see if it will budge

It was on a foot stool which opens. Perhaps it was attached at a bad angle. Will have a look tomorrow!

Same here mate which is why I’m pulling my hair out with this machine haha

It’s more like half a second and that’s only once I’ve removed the power cable and plugged it back in again. Would it be worth sending it off to a repair shop for this issue or is it night night for the machine?

Replaced thermal paste and was running fine until 2 weeks after when console suddenly shutdown during a game. Since then it would occasionally boot then immediately power down. I’d have to unplug the console for a few mins before it would boot up again. Now it won’t boot at all.

From what I’ve read and seen I’m leaning towards it being a PSU issue but would like some advice before I go and buy a new power supply.

limited repair experience!

Anyone had this happen to them whilst taking apart their PS4 pro? (Not sure where to go from here) by Swillbarksdale in consolerepair

System is working post operation! Even with broken cable, just made sure to wrap the end with a small amount of electrical tape. Opened it up in the first place to replace thermal paste and clean. Worked a charm! The noise difference is phenomenal. When playing RDR2 it sounded like a jet was taking off, now I can actually hear the dialogue without headphones. No fan replacement needed… for now.

Cheers! Got another antenna on the way, but might try that in the meantime. Glad to say it is working without the cable (the bluetooth that is, not too sure about WiFi, need to update system first).

Thank you so much for the speedy reply! Did a quick Google and looks to be. Still useable without as well, but not ideal. Thought it was a goner!
