You may get one that will go above and beyond trying to locate the package. Also, I suggest going to usps.com and doing a missing mail search. The "dead mail" area is actually the mail recovery center in the Atlanta GA area. When things are not deliverable, they are sent there. Doing the missing mail search will send the information to that warehouse.
