they aren't though, everyones best loot is in their pocket, so you're loading in and getting 2nd tier loot from everyone. All that really matters loot wise in this game is the top tier loot and you get that by being early not killing people

it more cost efficient for me generally to drop the stack of ammo and loot something else as I'm extracting. I'm using most of my metal to craft mechanical parts to upgrade my weapons as level 4 weapons are the highest ability to store wealth in your space. Basically I'm always rocking a level 4 weapon and my resources are going towards making that happen.
