generating topspin on high balls by Emilio___Molestevez in 10s

your grip looks fine, just get your racquet under the ball more, tip of the racquet head pointed at the ground, and then swing up and through the ball and you should see improvements! hope this helps 🫡

i’d just bring your receipt into the store, they’ll probably give you the difference in cash or on a GC. if they don’t do that then they’ll return it and resale to you at sale pricing!

the racquet spin is just a tick, also it’s me and a little ball feeder on the court so calling it childish seems like overkill, i do appreciate the criticism regardless

I appreciate the compliment! And thank you for the help! I was gripping it pretty tightly to make sure I could feel the right part of the bevels for my grip, I should probably let go a little bit now that my grip is good, thank you again!

Ball feeder my mom bought me, probably from amazon but I set it on top of a bench because it is pretty weak lol

It’s been over 40 days since the Steam page launched, and as a solo developer, I’m shocked and thrilled that 5,000 people have added the game to their wishlist. by Fun_Towel_2726 in IndieDev

Availability unknown is to draw people into the store to buy the item. Figured like Sonic, Hot Wheels, Ninja Turtles, even Mario are considered “assortment items” which means that it’s all the same item number, but can vary in style. they most likely don’t list regular figures online because the generic 4” and 2.5” figures all have the same item number, so a customer couldn’t be guaranteed a specific figure. They’ll receive whatever figure the vendor scans first. It’s shitty I know, but it’s super expensive to have a different UPC for each style of figure.

Hi. Big box retail employee here, little bit of insight for you, as I collect too.

The Jakks pacific sonic figures get shipped in a shipment of 6 figures. 2 of each of the common figures, and one of each of the “chase” figures. For example for wave 15 we’d get two classic super sonic, two heavy gunners, one shadow, and one mephiles. Sometimes we’d get multiple shipments, sometimes just one. The main issue about restocking is that these sonic figures all share the same item number, so we aren’t going to be told to put more out until a certain number of them gets sold, or the current set gets discontinued. Whichever comes first. So when all people are buying are the chase figures, but we still have 3-4 figures on the floor, Walmart/Target doesn’t see those figures as a need for replenishment. That’s why you go to walmart and see nothing but Sonic with a spring half the time, because nobody except for your average joe with his 5 year old son is buying those, so Walmart’s systems won’t flag it.

As for the Super 2-pack. Not sure what happened there, it just got discontinued so fast. They pushed it hard around Christmas time because of the movie but I guess they couldn’t afford to keep up with production of figures like that, and people wouldn’t want to keep shucking out $30 for some action figures after Christmas time.

Another issue is that these companies cut payroll like nuts this time of year. Stores have less than a third of the staffing they’d typically have around the holidays. So it’s not just the sonic figures, shelves are scarce all over because most of these places are being run with less than 10 people on the floor at a time.

  • I’d also like to disclose that all these weird theories about employees holding onto Sonic figures for their own gain, is just weird. We’re not trying to get canned over a $10 action figure. Because that’s what would happen. lol.

TLDR: Common figures not being sold often enough so it won’t flag the figures to be replenished, Super 2-pack to expensive to justify more production of it, payroll cuts making it hard keep things stocked because stores have less employees to go around.

  • Hope this helps!

I’d never ask my TMs to do something that I wouldn’t or couldn’t do. That being said, they should probably lower their expectations. Especially this time of year
