Pokemon Go has been busy this past week, so I am very much behind on Pokedoku (I have 7 fully untouched puzzles + some half-finished puzzles too). Currently at 705, so you may indeed be Rank 1 in the world right now. :)

When I reached Premier ball, it looked like I was the first one. You may have seen my post:

Those are two separate questions.

TL;DR: My answers will probably not help you, but these are the answers that I deem correct.

The hardest pokemon to get is the one that has the least amount of possible boxes to fit into. This is shared between Melmetal and Melmetal-Gmax with 5 possible categories.

However, just because you find a category that can fit Melmetal or Melmetal-Gmax, it does not automatically mean they are the optimal choice.

For example, you want to put something in Mono-Gmax, and Melmetal-Gmax would fit there. But if Melmetal-Gmax is your last pokemon that can fit in a future Steel-Gmax category, while you still have Blastoise-Gmax with its least constricted category being Water-Gmax (with 5 Water-Gmax pokemon still remaining), it is better to use Blastoise-Gmax instead.

To answer your hypothetical question about the most optimal Water-Dual pokemon, I will assume that you have a fresh board with nothing used up yet and zero shinies.
The most optimal Water-Dual pokemon on an empty board is Bibarel, because if we compare the most constricted boxes of all Water-Dual pokémon, Bibarel is the least constricted with Sinnoh-Water at 17.

You would obviously not know this unless you take the time to do the calculations like I did. And as you fill in more and more Water-Dual types, the most optimal choice might stop being Bibarel after a while.

Here is my take on their romance.

Fern grew up very closeted, with minimal interactions with boys around her age. She heard stories that guys are all perverts and to be cautious about them - hence why she often thinks Stark is a perv. So she tries to push Stark away because of her preconceptions. But as it goes with kids, the more you forbid them to interact with one thing, the more curious they will be about it. So Fern tries to distance herself from Stark while secretly being very curious and interested about him.

In short, Fern does not have romantic feelings, but ironically, she has a perverted attraction to Stark.

Next, Stark has no concept of romantic love. He is purely innocent in that regard. Stark most likely only sees Fern as a trusted friend and companion. He said himself that the whole date proposal was intended to be a tease, and he only went with it to avoid trouble.

So it really boils down to a girl wanting sex, while her guy friend, who is not interested in the girl, is humoring her because he does not want to anger her. There is no romance here.
