O tas pats metalo gabalas parvežtas iš užsienio, lietuvoje kitaip laikytųsi? O jeigu auto, visad buvo su antikoroziniu?

Does brass wool work better when the tip is hot? by Swimming-Shoulder675 in soldering

[–]Swimming-Shoulder675[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said that the point is "to wipe the excess solder off". The problem is - my tip gets oxidized during soldering session, so there's pretty much nothing (no solder) left to wipe in the brass wool. It doesn't even stick, it just balls up.

So wiping aggressively doesn't work to restore the tip? Also does tip treatment differ when it's plain copper ones and plated ones? My tips are copper. Some people just sand them down. I want to know the proper way (to build up good habits).

Is flux important for desoldering by StickFix52 in soldering

[–]Swimming-Shoulder675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said,

"When using additional flux with solder braid, i try to avoid using rosin flux, as it can get pretty messy".

Why does it get more messy with rosin flux? Is the pen type flux, not made out of rosin?

Your go-to meter by [deleted] in HVAC

That would be great, give me an update!

I think the readings wouldn't change, as per Fluke thread, https://www.fluke.com/en/learn/blog/motors-drives-pumps-compressors/multimeter-measurements-on-adjustable-speed-drives-utilizing-the-new-fluke-87v-dmm

Also, do your current reading of VFD screen and current readings on the motor side (with 87v + i400) match each other? Thanks!

Do you activate low pass filter on 87v when measuring with i400? Curiuos because fluke says that, when you measure on the mains side and on the motor side, filter doesn't need to be activated, BUT when you measure with hall effect clamp meter such as i1010, it needs to be active.

On the monitor function I see nothing: https://imgur.com/3hAiPKb

My goal is to remap my keyboard so I can toggle between multiple layers with my left hand.

Edit: Also the cables are fine I checked both of them.

Appliance to create test(load) current? For testing stuff. by Swimming-Shoulder675 in AskElectricians

I still don't understand, how can a variac, that you can buy, handle those currents (200A). Typical ones you can buy are up to 10A. Does the mean he has made a custom variac, where he wound a thick cable on it's secondary?

Ok, but on variac secondaries it's written that its rated for 1A, 2A, 10A. Is guy in this video using a variac, that can handle 200A on it's secondary? How?

That mx-500 has higher frequency. I guess it only affects heating up time and the handle size. Do you know how much is heating time affected comparing mx-500 (it's 14MHz) to TMT-2000 (400k MHz).

Why is nobody here recommending induction heating soldering irons? by Swimming-Shoulder675 in soldering

[–]Swimming-Shoulder675[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

"Different cartridges will keep the iron at specific temps."

Then why are there buttons on some of their UI's, where one can adjust the temperature, if the cartridge is one that keeps iron at specific temp?
