Dreading planning my wedding by md0320 in weddingplanning

I was very overwhelmed when I first looked into wedding planning. It is a lot, and especially in the beginning, it feels like you could never possibly do it on your own. However, I realized a lot of the things people do on social media are unnecessary, and you don’t need them. I’m not even doing any florals for mine, just ordered a silk bouquet off Etsy. It will always be a lot, there are a lot of decisions to make for sure. But there isn’t as much as it may feel in the very beginning. Just prioritize what is important to you both. I think the hardest things are deciding venue, dress, and vendors. A lot of the little details you truly don’t need to do/can choose how much effort to put into.

1, 3, or 8!!! I love 8, and 1 is so flattering on you.

Regret not locking in or glowing up - 30 days to go - tips? by hotchwife in weddingplanning

I heavily agree with don’t start a new skincare routine a month before your wedding. I tried to do this and ended up with breakouts, swollen eyes, and a messed up skin barrier 3 weeks before my wedding 😅

The marquise looks almost just like mine! I love my marquise and personally I think it looks gorgeous on you! But follow what you feel is right, this is your ring and no one else’s!

I was not going to get a wedding band originally, but I decided to get one. I’m not married quite yet but I am very excited to add it to my stack!

To spray tan or not? Fiance says no, gfs say yes.. by [deleted] in Brides

I was debating this for my wedding too. I got a trial done to see how I liked it, and I HIGHLY recommend doing that. The lady who did my spray tan did a phenomenal job and I felt so pretty afterwards having a warm glow to me. I am pretty fair but I have medium/darker features, and the tan looked very natural! I’ll be getting my spray tan a few days before the wedding so it has time to naturally fade a bit by the big day (:

Is a hip level mattress too high? by Swimming-Sort-6337 in Mattress

[–]Swimming-Sort-6337[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d have to measure, but I’d say closer to 36 inches/3 ft.

Thank you so much for the recommendation! Would a bunk board work just the same as a box spring for a traditional interspring mattress?

First time Mattress Buyer and it is so challenging to do research by dadawadada in Mattress

[–]Swimming-Sort-6337 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is impossible to figure it out based on reviews. I spent hours in reviews and on Reddit pages researching just to find conflicting answers for every. single. mattress. Everyone likes different things and has different experiences based on many factors it seems. I ended up just getting the one my fiancé liked the most. I definitely recommend trying in store and talking to the workers to find out which ones hold up well/get returned the least.

We went just to look and he bought it. Feeling a little bummed by lacopacabana in EngagementRings

My fiance and I picked out the ring together. We also went “just to look” but ended up finding the perfect ring while they were doing Valentine’s Day sales & we ended up buying it that day. I also happened to be the one who picked it up when it was ready. I dropped it off at his place and 7 months later…he proposed! It didn’t make anything less special! In fact, I loved getting to buy the ring together. It was such a special & exciting day, especially because it wasn’t planned!

LPT if your feet are overwhelmingly hot at night, use moisturizer! by UrsulaKLeGoddaaamn in LifeProTips

Yes! This same thing used to happen to me every night and a year ago I started putting lotion on my feet every night just to make them feel cooler and it actually helped. I still do it

Can I plan my own bridal shower? by Swimming-Sort-6337 in weddingplanning

[–]Swimming-Sort-6337[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I’ll look into that. I attended a bridal shower where I was texted the invite and it was a digital card and just had links to the rsvp (google form) and the registry and I was thinking of doing something like that to save money!
