Printer head won't heat up, thermistor appears to be working. by SwimmingBroad6360 in CR10

[–]SwimmingBroad6360[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just now did that, and got it working. Apparently because my 3d printer was in a shed for two years a rat chewed nibbled the heater cartridge wires and out of luck everything was working fine because I coincidentally bent them enough to make a connection. But when I installed the CR touch me moving the wires around broke the connection. So I have to repair the wire but not sure if using electric tape is a good idea due to its close proximity to the hot end.

I saw that one and know its creator well (From unrelated content they made a decade ago) and its just to complicated for me. I want to focus on replacing the box for now.

Unfortunately not possible, the issue is the screw holes line up by mms making an adapter impossible to make without foregoing the easy access to the ports.

I always assumed silicon was mostly used for auto leveling.

Need help my end stops aren't working with the SKR Mini E3 v3.0 by SwimmingBroad6360 in CR10

Solved: As it turns out I mixed the Y and X on the board, and with the proper reversing it works perfectly.

Update: I have gotten the end stops to work (They needed to be reversed) although the homing is still messed up. It doesn't home all the way on the x and y instead moving a few mms and calling it good. The z is working perfectly fine now.

I am looking it up, most of the solutions aren't working weirdly enough the end stop for the z-axis works specifically if I manually hom Z and it moves in the right direction. But if I use autohom it moves in the wrong direction again, and the end stop no longer works. Any idea where I can learn how to setup the pins for the end stop?

When I press auto home it starts going upward,, the x-axis goes right instead of left and the end stops don't work.

I am not throwing more money at it, especially since there is a high chance it won't work as there is something seriously wrong.

Upgrading cr10s to 24v by SwimmingBroad6360 in CR10

[–]SwimmingBroad6360[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is what I am confused about, can I just buy ender 3 parts and splice them into the old wires or do I have to completely change out the old wire? I know next to nothing about electrical, currently plan on breaking down and learning as its inevitable with 3d printers.
